its 11pm here and 30mg of MXE just found its way to my left nostril, this is getting interesting.

np: Shpongle - When Shall I Be Free?

indeed, when shall i be free?

is 5-HTP safe/dangerous to take for example 3 hours after MXE to get some sleep?

i've done it, though i know some people have expressed their concerns. there's also people that say that 5htp and alcohol is a bad combination, but i've mixed the two with no ill effect.

it might be one of those things where the bad sideeffects only show up with habitual mixing, idk. used sparingly, though, i haven't had problems with the mixture of the three.

Yeah I've had my concerns about 5-htp and alcohol, i don't take it the same night if I drink heavily. But if only 1-3 beers or something, I would take it. But I often take 5-HTP just on sunday nights and in early week, like monday and tuesday after drug-related weekends. And ofc I post-load with 5-htp a few days/weeks after MDMA. Some Valerian tea arrived also, maybe that will put me to sleep gently :)

lol wow, i just woke up

mornings are not my thing

Wow, now THAT'S sleeping in!

How do the effects compare snorted, to oral? I have been hearing that there is some stimulation and the effects are somewhat different.

^^

I'm not so sure.. I dont see much difference between oral/nasal honestly.. Maybe duration? thenightwatch could answer it better I think, he has more experience with MXE :) But sublingual seemed to come up pretty intense compared to oral/nasal when I tried that ROA for the first time in a year a week ago..

Xorkoth- yeah, the lope is great for breaking the mental craving cycle...for me I always viewed it as breaking the withdrawals up into two manageable portions...the mental and physical. I never used it much in my past years of hardcore opioid use, but the last few years of struggling with Kratom it has been a godsend..I find the mental part of Kratom withdrawals particularly awful, just insidious, worse than straight forward opioids....combined with the not insignificant physical withdrawals (I averaged 40-50g of plain leaf a day for a few years) it was just heinous. Lope allowed me to go through the mental part first, and then deal with the physical part when ready....broke the craving cycle as well, at least temporarily. But I'd always go back...a week, a month....very disheartening. But a recent high dose Ibogaine experience has given me new hope and some great wind in my sails...it's been 8 days since, no cravings, no real withdrawals to speak of, some great insight and momentum, and one of the most profound and interesting psychedelic experiences of my life. Oh Ibogaine, I waited 20 years for you!

Xammy- not really recommended, harm reduction and all. probably ok really, but methoxetamine has not insignificant action as an SRI...

Nasal sucks in comparison IMO. Like a cheaper two dimensional version of MXE. IM is best, followed by plugging, then sublingual, oral...followed distantly by intranasal. Who knows why, but my experience doesn't seem to be unique....

Nice, you got a chance to try iboga... how was that? Have you written about your experience anywhere? I'd love to read it. Iboga is something I am super interested in, particularly since I have been struggling with opiate addiction (kratom through most of the time) for years, since 2004. 10 years... it's is a real struggle for me.

I agree about the kratom withdrawal too. The mental withdrawal is very insidious and hellish. I went through it once, early on, and the state of misery I was in was just terrible. Additionally, I get more restlessness with it than with true opiates, and to me the restlessness is the worst physical part because I simply cannot sleep no matter how hard I try, and after 4 or 5 days this becomes its own kind of hell.

These days I use poppy seed tea as my opiate because I can not longer get any positive effects from kratom, it just makes me feel dizzy and kind of crappy and then even though the experience sucked, I still get withdrawal.

I should try this plugging once.. even more when it reduces nausea (aMT etc.) but I'm afraid that I will waste material if doing it wrong

You just need to make sure you don't have any feces near the point where they are going to be expelled. If you do then they will absorb much of the substance you have plugged. Otherwise, absorption will happen quickly and completely. You can dissolve into water which will absorb quicker and won't have to dissolve a gel cap first, but you'll need to be upside down or at least laying on your front when inserting with an oral syringe, and then stay on your front or not stand up for a good few minutes to avoid leakage. Because of this I usually just put the dry chemical in a gel cap, suck on the gel cap a bit to pre-soften it, and then insert. It's easier and it works fine. Even with AMT freebase it works fine.

It's my preferred ROA with many things because it really dramatically reduces bodyload for almost everything I've tried it with. It lasts almost as long as oral and uses in general about half the dose. It seems to produce fully fleshed out experiences too, unlike nasal, which can sometimes seem to be less "profound".

Whats with these scales nowadays? This shit just shuts down when im putting material on it little by little. Ok, its good that it shuts down automatically when idled long enough, but when I'm weighing the substances and it goes off out of the blue when 2 seconds earlier I dropped 10mg more material on it is bullshit. Its good for 20€ but srsly

~25mg dosed sublingually, this is the last dose for tonight :) so much saliva in my mouth lol

What do you guys think about Shulman?

Xork how do you get poppy seed tea to work continuously? I can feel it for 2 days in a row and then by the third I'm shaking poppies for absolutely no reason.

^Did you have a large opiate habit previously? IME, opioid tolerance shoots right back up to old levels by day or 3 or 4 if you're taking enough.

Like terror-inducing nitrous oxide.

My mind thinks carbogen when you say that. Not that I've ever tried that. That reminds me, I don't recall if I mentioned it, I was doing some nitrous a few months back, accidentally grabbed CO2 cartridge. Inhale that, "What's with this burning sensation in my lungs, this must be a really crappy brand." *notices cartridge is a different color than the N2* "Ooooh, I see what I did there. No wonder this feels terrible."

o you really think a week or so of MXE low-dosing in the evenings would cause any kind of dependence?

A week of 24/7 use won't cause much in the way of problems, well, a week of IVing it several times per evening while getting drunk left my kidneys feeling unpleasant for a number of days. But I was asking for it there.

As far as addiction issues go, it might be worth going for MXE to reduce w/d symptoms rather than switching to lope, or at least facilitate a quicker taper.

That's how it goes with MXE, oral is the way to go, or plugged since you like that (I demand my ROAs have aesthetic appeal, besides P.O.).

So, I know I slept Wednesday night, not sure if I have since then. 8( Gonna stay in bed late tomorrow, I have no obligations.

I have this thing, when I have rare drugs in my possession, Im saving them for special occasions.. and MXE is very rare here. I should sometimes just let go.. but maybe this is the thing that keeps my usage in order

I lol'd too, but when I posted I knew something like that was coming haha

pretty blissful evening.. approximately 80mg of MXE and now enjoying some Valerian tea

spotify:track:3dlWWgVXEwCPaU1ya5uh9r this is nice

Iboga was profound, in ways I am still struggling to elucidate....a formal trip report will be written once I've gotten a better handle on the whole experience. Contrary to a lot of what is said about it, it really is a proper stand alone psychedelic. One of the best in the entire canon in my opinion! And if you have problems with addiction or emotional trauma even better! For the first time in almost two decades I am not craving opioids....at all. I feel I made more progress on my PTSD from getting busted/serving time than I had in several years of conventional and unconventional psychotherapy. It really is magic, for lack of a better term. Even without baggage it truly is an extraordinary psychedelic, oneirogenic, or what have you. The closed eye "visuals" are amazing, more dream like than anything...I'd guess that is the kappa agonism and NMDA antagonism. The open eye visuals were stunning, and although I've heard it described as emotionally neutral, it was anything but for me. Cathartic!

Both Ibogaine and nor-Ibogaine are fairly potent serotonin reuptake inhibitors, and the lasting antidepressant effects are wholly unique. Both Ibo and nor-Ibo have a half life of around two hours, but the running theory is that the nor-Ibogaine is deposited in fat cells and slowly released. Judging by that 8 days later I am still getting some nice tracers late at night and early in the morning I wouldn't argue such!

Highly recommended. A gem amongst gems :D I'm going to give it several months but I'm eagerly anticipating my next session. It is a psychedelic that will compress years of therapy into a few days whether you like it or not!

Cheers

Well I don't do it 2 days in a row. I am 4 days between doses right now. At one point I did do it daily, and I would only get desired effects if I did a substantially larger dose than normal. But that's totally normal for opiates of all kinds.

With poppy seed tea you also have a huge variation in potency depending on the batch of seeds, though I guess if you're doing the same batch that wouldn't explain it.

Fascinating, thank you so much for responding. Is it a difficult experience? How does it feel physically?
