Yes. They need to accept that responsibility for themselves as well and work past it and not go on living as victims. So you blame the troops for following orders?
The President is military personnel. The commanders of the prison. The guards.Oh thank god, I thought they meant all those crimes happening in that little bay of Cuba..
Torture is torture even if it leaves no visible marks.

The victims were prisoners and part of the military theater. What happened in Cuba was not "active combat" but holding prisoners of war is a military action and a direct part of the war.
I believe they killed a man, they certainly left scars in the legs of some victims.
and not go on living as victims
I am aware of the footing and did not say POWs, though some were. They're not classed as POWs so the US military is not bound by the Geneva convention.
Hence their torture, years of indefinite confinement, barbaric drugging and other forms of medieval cruelty.
What about...
Abu Ghraib?
"Weapons of mass destruction"
American war crimes go back (at least) to the Second World War.
The examples are too many to list.
So, how about you look at your own country before making statements condemning poor countries (as opposed to crumbling superpowers with great numbers of people living in poverty, despite having the world's most advanced military?) before smugly derailing yet another thread?
That personae is your fiction. That's screamingly ironic considering your whole persona here is one of victimhood, poor poor pmoseman, took some drugs and got depressed and now wears her victimhood on her sleeve. Boo hoo.
Couldn't agree more. March 2011.Hmm when was the last time the US declared war? guess its all coming down to some classification then.. word words words.. no words or classifications change what the actions done there were.. they were unjust.
I am aware of the footing and did not say POWs, though some were.

"I am aware of the footing and did not say [they were] POWs, though some were."Bullshit
pmoseman has now been successfully added to your ignore list.
im lovin itHow do you do the ignore list? I know I should know but I haven't eaten for over 48 hours and can't quite figure it out
