EADD Heroin Discussion Nininininineteen [19] (I wasn't really sure what was going on)

Only had 1 BAG OF H ALL WEEK

Cracking Brimz!!!Well done!
I have also started using just once or maybe twice a week-but once is better
and the gear is NICE-thought it was same as before at first look but noticed after i left it a while,it had that slight 'matt' look-so a bit scabby-the bags are 2 for £15 and small so i usually put 2 on together;outcome was gouching pretty hard after 4 bags and I am not someone that usually gouches so nice for me
finally been invited to view my new flat
i told them that unless there was something very wrong with it,I would take it.I have been officially homeless since october-told them I was living in sheds etc
told them I couldn't go to a hostel or a B&B cos that would just make me relapse being around all those people.
now here comes the tough bit-moving in
need to buy a cooker, fridge and a sofa.apart from that and a few small essentials,I am pretty much covered.
The new area is nice.Much quieter than where I lived before. It is even in a 'village' rather than an inner city area as i was living in before I went away.
I don't know of any dealers there at all, yet!

no ID required. Just pissed in a cup and waited a few days. explained my case and she wrote me the max dosage per day for a month of generics. and 60 valium.

no heroin at all brimz. but morphine skenan lp at 7e for 200mg.

Okay so you just walked into a clinic(private or public)? Pissed in a cup while obviously testing positive for some opiates?

The same service is offered in the UK. I saw about 6 doctors who all denied that the service was available, until one finally told me that it was. I was ready to come off bupe by then anyway so didnt take her up on the offer.

It used to be stupidly easy to get a script in this country back in the day. Back in early 2000's all you would have to do is do a dirty test at the clinic and you would be on a script within a week, however the services do have limited numbers so sometimes you would have to wait till others drop out or complete treatment. I know a 18 year old back then whom failed to give a dirty test 3 times but then got put on methadone after the 4th attempt, he only used a few bags a week and swapped a lightweight addiction for a heavyweight one, makes no sense to me. He only had a lightweight habbit, some people seem far to quick to jump on a script when their habbit is still very manageable. I think methadone/bupe should only be used as a end of the road option. I wish I had never gone on methadone as it was the worst 9 years of my life, saying that there is a good chance I would be dead without it. I think people are more scared of the thought of clucking rather than the actual rattle itself. They need to provide rapid access to replacement meds but sticking short term users on long term scripts is not the answer and the fact they over prescribe the doses is silly, everyone on a scripts tolerance is pumped right up by the non required amounts they insist on scripting.

yeah, completely agree, drugs workers seem to think that geting people onto bupe or methadone is the answer to every opi problem. It isnt and they are making the wrong call. Sometimes it is just replacing a lesser habit with a bigger one. Bupe is meant to be 'medication' and not recreational, but it lit me up like a christams tree, the whole 8-10 months or however long i was using it, and however long it took me to get off it.

However, to be fair, once the doses of bupe get very low, it does work as intended in keeping the physical side of things managable, but with no really noticeable big mood or confidence lifts, so that you can deal with the psychological and physical parts seperately, rather than both at once.

I may have asked this question before but what was methadone invented for? Does it have anyother uses apart from drug treatment? and why do they insist on giving it in liquid form...ah yes the injecting, but say if you don't have a history of injecting?

MDB were you on the gear?

where did all the other folk from the drought go ? it was geeat when I discovered here. I didn't feel so alone as a functioning addict. That drought happened for a reason, it really pushed me to the limits of my life, snet me into overdrive to mental and physical collapse. It's crazy how long it takes to recover from these things. I remember when I started uni, 3 years seemed like forever to do your degree. a long time to look into the future. It's taken me 3 years to get my head into a position I want it to be in after that drought and collapse. I've said it before but I just love getting older and wiser.

ive had enough. i had an interview with the jobcentre on thursday and they think im in too much of a mess to be at work despite my fullfilling my jobseekers agreement - they want me to sign off and claim esa instead. I dont want to end up on the scrapheap so after 10 years of addiction ive engaged with a drug service. They want to see me on friday with a view to stablising me on buprenophrine followed by a rapid detox and 14 weeks rehab. Ive finnally had to put my hands up and admit i dont have the character to do another CT without help

PS wheres bodda? He ok?

Well, it looks as though I won't be lasting the full three weeks I planned ..... My Partner-in-Crime™ <3 is coming back for a few days, and a scoring mission is a virtual certainty. And if I don't take my share in time, I fear she will .....

Let's hope I've lost some of that tolerance I spent all that time building .....

Methodone was invented by the Germans. Hitlers army, The Wermacht used it as a substitute for Morphine during the Second World War.

Its still prescribed as a painkiller quite a lot at sub tolerant doses (5-10mg). Theres a good article on 'the fix' stating that its been resposnsible for alot of deaths in the usa when prescribed as a painkiller. 30mg is nothing more than a test dose for an opiate addict but it could easily send a non tolerant individual over especially with its long half life

As was already answered methadone was invented by the germans during the war. i imagine there was a morphine shortage or a shortage of poppy straw for processing because of embargos so a replacement was needed that could be made from completely synthetic precursors.

the nazis were also the first to experiment with anabolic steroids giving their SS elite testosterone along with japanese invented methamphetamine (known as pervitin). if ever their was a cocktail for killing i imagine that was it!

They also had plans to mass produce an "endurance" pill known as D-IX which contained 5mg oxycodone, 5mg cocaine and 3mg metamphetamine.

I read before that Herman Goering was a huge (not just a fat man) addict to opiates, morphine I think his drug of choice. Before the war, while Germany was militarising herself he anticipated that the supply of opium into Germany would likely be severely disrupted and morphine production would then suffer or not be possible at all - therefore to feed his addiction and stop himself from being sick he ordered that a synthetic drug be manufactured which became methadone. Now I doubt it was just to feed his own addiction, of course the Nazis would need a painkiller for their soldiers on the battlefield so this would have been another reason it was researched / manafactured (I don't have a source for this but I do remember reading it)

Was methamphetamine invented by the Japanase around the time of the war aswell Tryptamite?.. That's interesting - also when you buy crystal meth today in the Czech Republic it's still called 'pervitine' as opposed to crystal!... and it's seriously strong if you get the right stuff!!
