Hey,
I know I haven't been the most contributing member but i'd really appreciate it if someone can take the time to read my post and help me out here.
I've been feeling like shit for the last few months and wanted to see what people on this forum think about my situation.
Last 4 months ive been having burning sunburn like pain everywhere along with dry mouth and eyes, flaky facial skin, tremors, feeling cold (it's not cold where i live) and extreme anger bursts.
now my regimen was twice a week baclofen 50 mg, 4-5 times a week kratom 30 grams sometimes supplemented with tramadol, ambien 20-40 mg 3-4 times a week (snorted or crused), drinking sometimes and adderall prescribed for adhd.
When it started I assumed it was the kratom because of the massive doses, so I stopped for a month but felt the same.
Stopped ambien for 3 weeks but foolishly drank throught the process and unsurprisingly felt the same.
Assumed it wasn't the drugs, went to a neurologist (The burning pain was the worst), ran a bunch of tests (nerve tests, rheumatoid, autoimmune etc) everything comes back fine so he concludes it's nerve symptoms of an unknown source, prescribed tegretol which doesn't help.
Now I suddenly read about benzo withdrawal all my symptoms match, especially the burning skin which is a common one with benzos.
I know ambien isnt a benzodiazepine but they're both very similar and work on the gaba-a receptors.
Could these be withdrawal symptoms from ambien even though i've never taken it for more then a few days in row.
I did snort ambien (20-40 mg) 3-4 times a week and drank sometimes which can create cross tolerance.
What scares me is that ive read benzo withdrawal can take a few months and more then that.
Could it be the kratom because of the massive doses even though the symptoms dont really match and I stopped for a month.
Now I know the obvious thing to do is to stop everything, but ive got an apprenticeship in a law firm and im barely holding out as is.
The adderall which makes my pain worse and baclofen a few times when it's worse is something I have to take to keep it together and hold on to my job.
So basically my questions can it be the kratom even though iv'e stopped for a month and it didn't help, and if it's ambien which seems likely given the symptoms, can withdrawal take as long as benzo withdrawal (months to year).
Thanks and again, between my job, the way I feel and not knowing what it is i'm barely holding it together, I can really use some help here.
