I overeat (roughly 1200 cal of food) once every 5-7 days while eating clean/lean and working out 4x/wk otherwise. I have dropped about 25 lbs. in a year and am ~ 10 lbs from my goal weight.

Anyone else do this as part of planned weight loss..?? The theory is you keep your metabolism at full burn thus preventing /stopping weight loss plateaus and keeping the weight loss steady...I imagine/hope it holds for weight maintenance too (and perhaps what "normal weight" people do by default)...

I believe I have mentioned this in one of the threads where I set a day for myself to eat what I desire. I have lost 17 lbs. I also workout intensely for about 5 days a week to keep the metabolism going. My goal is to lise another 10 lbs which I don't believe is far out but this requires a lot of discipline and dedication.

Congrats on the weight loss. And yeah they say the last 10 are the hardest.

I am hopeful I'm not at a maintenance weight as I'm not sure I can comfortably cut food/calories any further...

I don't think I need to cut back on food and calories because stress has been playing a part on my overall eating at the moment. Stress can affect you greatly I tell ya 8)

Why do you want to lose weight so much? If you looked good in the mirror would it matter how much you weigh?

Adderall and stimulants kill my appetite, I was 110 from 120 doing absolutely nothing.

Why don't you count your calories? Eat more fiber and skip shit like peanut butter, that has more calories than a mcdouble. I counted it once, and I was undereating, and I thought I was a hard gainer. No I was malnourished.

Calories are overrated. Peanut butter (raw, natural peanut butter) is one of the healthiest foods in the world. Comparing it to a McDouble is lol.

Just sayin' you can lose weight even if you eat McD. As long as you have less calories, you will lose weight. I don't think peanut butter is one of the healthiest, not after its been processed as it usually is, but it does make for a very nice calorie rich food (I don't eat a lot of food).

I actually like this response ;)

I had been counting my calories as well and been tryin to eat as healthy as I can but there are situations (like stress) where I would eat a lot lol. It's been good so far though, I exercise a lot and make sure to push myself further in my workouts. The only thing though is, it seems for some people, metabolism slows down at a certain age. I remember when I was 22-24 I never had problems losing weight faster but when I reached 27+ I noticed how it slowed down drastically.

Yeah, I feel like a lot of girls especially have a weight obsession. Its like I want to be this weight, rather than I want to look like this. My weight fluctuates within 10lb often, and I look pretty much the same, wear the same clothes, etc. Guys usually go I want muscles and no fat or something, and at the end its like wow I gained a few lb but I look great!
