Im into almost all genres, love music, straight into classic trance etc as soon as i heard it even though i was learning hendrix etc stuff on guitar in my early teens and hadnt touched drugs, theres something special about being spangled at a rave with electronic music cranked up through a rig, everybody dancing the unity and the loved up atmosphere is almost spiritual or tribal or some shit, amazing times, guitar music general does my nut in on spangly stuff, ive been to gigs live spangled and it aint the same

and thanks Kenny

There's plenty brilliant new music about which must surely mean there are plenty peeps listening to it.

Too right. good ole youtube is amazing for finding amazing new music, or any amazing music, through clicking on random stuff ive found some brilliant tracks

Is grindcore even music though?

MDMA works with any thing with a beat. Imagine the tunes Beethoven or Bach would have produced one Sunday after glow?

It has its occasional charms...

I've heard that classical music sounds amazing on MDMA. I don't really know any classical stuff well enough to ever think to give it a go but have always told myself I'd look into it sometime. I find it's kinda hard to find a way in to classical music when you know literally nothing about it though. There's a helluva lot of it and it's hard to know where to begin and how to find stuff that particularly appeals. I'll get around to it one of these days though.

If you have a suit shambles I'll take you on a man date to a concert hall. You'll need to supply the drugs cos I'll have to clear customs.

Or maybe just head down to your local university and perve on the recital hall during auditions.

I think it just has to be fairly euphoric music to work well.

nah. there is loads of techno that has zero euphoria, but still feels amazing to dance to. ^ the idea that the music has to be euphoric is the shite foundations of EDM. well that and the relentless demand huge firework choreographed drops.

^^ Agreed.I <3 industrial but it ain't MDMA music. I probably got into electronic music through being a massive Joy Division/New Order fan. Plenty gee-tar tunes early on but they were the first band I recall who did the Ecstasy thing - not that I recall as such, more hindsight. I'd never heard of Ecstasy (other than the NO song title perhaps) in the early-mid-80s when they started to go big on extended dance mixes.

OTW: Sadly I don't own a suit no. Wanted one since I was a kid but never possessed one. There is a Uni not far from me though and I'd not thought of that. Might even do that some time - thanks for the tip :)

To be honest I'd be petrified of talking E after what happened to that Leah school girl who was round 15. I'm not judging anyone that does take E (take would be silly on a drug, harm reduction site) but I would be absolutely petrified of ever going near that stuff. It is interesting listening to other people n their experience of taking it n like I say, I'll not judge anyone as I judge people on how they are to me n they're attitude in general not what drugs they take. I drink, I got addicted to codeine - I take suboxone and despise anyone who judges me for it as it's my choice of recovery so it would be pretty hypocritical of me to judge anyone else. I also drink alcohol.

Evey xxxx

Just so you know, Evey, Leah Betts died from overdosing on water. She unfortunately followed what was stupidly bad official government advice which, at the time, was to drink as much water as possible if you were on Ecstasy. She did exactly that, diluted her blood so much that the brain and other organs couldn't take up the required nutrients and minerals and the like and died from... can't recall the precise name but basically water overdose. Ecstasy didn't kill Leah Betts, incredibly bad "HR advice" killed Leah Betts. Which is perhaps why it's better to use a site like BL for HR advice than government propaganda.

Thanks - I'll give those a go. Gotta start somewhere :D

Oh, I did really like that recentish BBC4 series on 20th Century classical music. Was called The Sound & The Fury and is probably on PooToob or somewhere. Really liked some of that stuff - was meaning to watch it again and note down a few names and pieces. That's modern classical though which is a bit different to yer more classical classical.

WORD!

her brain expanded due to the water.

MDMA is safe as fuck. Extremely safe. The biggest danger is being sold something believed to be MDMA that is not.

Eveleivibe...have you just got out of prison from a 18 stretch? Not many folk refer to leah betts these days.

Have there been any deaths directly attributed to MDMA? I don't mean generic "ecstasy deaths" as reported in the tabloids and the like cos most of those seem to be down to PMA/PMMA or some other 'orrible shit being passed off as Ecstasy. Short of interactions or allergies I really can't imagine there being much in the way of actual MDMA deaths.

then there's that Rachel whitear or something her parents flashed a picture of her in a weird pipose after injecting. what happened to her. Brimz is proof heroin is safe as fuck too.

dunno for sure but im sure there has been folk who have snuffed it due to an allergic reaction. heard stories of folks livers and kidneys failing after MDMA. (my parents buy the daily mail though so this might of been the hangover from skimming that over the years)

Agreed

Personally, this is one of the most cunty threads ive read for awhile. brag brag brag "im a fukin old skool raver m8 u kids dont kno nuffin represtin im the fukin bollocks init i cant type worth a wank because im noddin out but i aint a fukin junkie m8 u all need to get a life"

When i said i would rip ya i'm sorry i mean it would be like puting G Rap in a battle with Vannillla Ice n that ain't fair kid .

Besides this a fukin corker the FIRST time you asked me for drugs i was new n i it so happened that i met Dave you remember him ? 4 a pint the v
next day i passed it on i think he was snr mod at the time , he gave you a pass n said

I wouldn't bother he's just a pleb he's no harm like a bit slow thats all
FACT

so i didn't cos i don't sell my script but your the sort of guy that gets people locked up n u know damn well what i'm talkin bout . The Net is a fukin blessing for you but a fukin mare for the poor cunts that have to deal with u n yer non functioning brain .

hey dickhead, shut the fuck up

arent you the guy who likes slapping girls up?

either way, youre a small dicked faggot. and if you do indeed know me irl, BY ALL MEANS say hello next time you see me out and about, i''ll happily beat shit out of you on brimz's behalf

Sorry i couldn't pick up the phone i was working . It was busy i spect you could tell all that fukin noise . Catch up next week init boss.

Amazing. It's kind of like when you hear people bragging about whose from the worst/hardest (ie shittest) area or estate. You'd imagine each wouldn't be gunning for the bottom spot, but in reality that's exactly what they're doing.

The majority of people would be ashamed/embarrassed to admit the things you're bragging about. Most who were involved in the rave scene of then (I'm mid-30's myself) have had the maturity to take it for what it was, and move on with their life. As used to be said, 'when you get the message, hang up the phone'.

That ageing smack-head you meet at a party bragging about how much partying he's done, is the one you all laugh about later and swear up and down you'll never turn in too. He was such a bore :).

I have created something it is a bit ruthless but hey BL was getting boring n i'm sure this thread will be remembered who r u again ?
Wow that's what 14 year old yardie gangsta wannabe kids say to each other over at DrumandBaseArena. Fucking hell, man. You're really stepping so low as to threaten Dan?

As Yeti from The Firm would say" you see that door yeah? Fucking use it"

Kenny i like you n we get most of the time n i think you like me 4 the most part , maybe it got lost in translataion , i am not a fukin twat who is going to threathen Dan physically ffs he could have me easy but lyrically the boy...... well you have read his posts .

I mean who gives up a fukin skilled job in a huge recession when they have no other training ffs . Maybe u would for a reason travelling maybe ?

Nah so he can sit in fukin EXeter skint as mutha doing Benzo's n Booze together HR you been here how many years ?
You see i can read you like a fukin a book son you regret it already Dan . When i asked you about it u swerved it like a mutha n instead stared trying to get me locked up by asking me questions on a fukin text :|

Why i ain't feeling it tell ya what though seeing as u luv my style n i put u on to all the decent Hip Hop you constantly play . There is more than one Producer Premo is sold out know MCs won't work with him cos he takes to long a bit slow cos he's loaded .

He did however jump on Pap but who wouldn't , not this Pap the a beast the more commercial one

This wasn't even intended but Pap doing my talkin 4 me luv it :) kinda explaining the difference between us !

while we here i show you the real shit to trill 4 u kid real G shit .

Where's the evidence for this please?
Until I get evidence I can't believe it - sorry.
I do not, however, that it is possible to die of drinking too much water - parathion runners have done so.

But from all this with Leah I do not like E and am really frightened of it. Like I said I don't judge anyone but I, myself, will never touch it. Hopefully I won't be judged for this likewise xxxx

PS: No offense but I have Brimz on ignore n wish not to ever speak to him again as he is very arrogant the way he judges people n after how he was with MDB. Sorry this is how I feel.

WRT the modern classical stuff I have no idea if he counts as classical, in fact probably not, but I love a guy called Ludovico Einaudi. You'll recognise some of the songs as they get played on tv shows n films, the bbc likes him a lot.

Don't expect you to listen to these now but if you do one thing tonight get these onto your youtube! I mean it.

In no particular order-

Ludovico Einaudi - I Giorni
Ludovico Einaudi - Divenire
Ludovico Einaudi - Fuori dal Mondo (This Is England soundtrack)
Ludovico Einaudi - Nuvole Bianche
Ludovico Einaudi - Primavera
Ludovico Einaudi - Solo

You are more likely to die from having your ear chewed off on MDMA, but I have seen the aftermath of 3 straight days of gobbling pills like skittles and honestly believe that it's not quite a benign as many people want it to be.

Eveleivibe let me break your MDMA cherry. I'll be kind and we won't have to wear shit club clothes or line up to seedy clubs.
