Saw AiC, Tool and Tom Morello at one festival. Highlight was either Maynard coming out and doing all of 10,000 days plus a few hits with a broken leg or Tom playing guitar with his fucking teeth.

Saw Radiohead high on smack and a passed joint while they did a full jam session of in rainbows prior to release.

Saw the drummer for NIN have a heart attack 3 songs in on-stage.

Saw The Mars Volta open for APC, who then went on to do 13th step and Mer de Noms in their entirety...

nothing on horizon unfortunately.

great line up for sure. they moved it to kind of a shitty location this year, but i'll be there at least one night. the promoter is a buddy of mine, 5 years ago he was booking my friends bands in bars, now he's balling his face off.

in other news, just pulled the trigger on hard working americans, febrary 20th at the variety. i think ya'll would dig these guys.

quick piece here on them: http://www.usatoday.com/story/popcandy/2014/01/22/hard-working-americans/4775017/

but if you have 8 minutes, listen to the NPR segment: http://www.npr.org/2014/01/23/26523...mericans-songs-for-the-ordinary-joe?ft=1&f=13

the new album is great. love the idea behind it and hope they start writing their own material.

There's some good stuff going on with that Shaky Knees, doe.

Holyfuckingshit CS that lineup is beautiful. Jesus christ.

what the fuck is wrong with you people? there is one good band on that list and why pay to go see them at a yuppie wasteland parking lot MALL when you could see them at the earl for 10$?? OR FREE if you come with me because the waitress puts me on the guest list? i am like seriously grossed out by all of you. the lineup last year was even worse but at least it wasn't at a nightmarish hellscape of muzak, no smoking, tennis tournaments and ikea parking.

would you wanna go see shovels and rope at the variety with me? you probably hate them too. because you hate everything.

nah. that festival does nothing for me. the last time i saw outkast, granted years ago, it was terrible.

uhhh...yea. i think i need to do this.

I saw Phish 18 years ago (wow!) the last time they played jazzfest, it was sooo hot and miserable during the day and a massive party at night. I was standing in pretty much this exact location as the picture. I do remember the obligatory chain reaction of puking one morning at Mickey D's drive thru. First the passenger puked out the window, then the guy in the back seat puked out his window, then the guy in the 3rd row puked out his window (land cruiser). I can almost smell that puke now as it was baking in the oppressive sun.

I got pretty sloppy at this show and may have confessed my love to her.

I'd confess my love to her. I mean. Shit. I bought that Wolf Like Me cover.

also - that's Pander's bromance friend taking the cellphone picture in that photo of Ben. lol.

Ha. He's pretty recognizable with that beard. Both he and his bro were nice. And cuties. We became friends on FB after meeting- how was Cards Aginst Humanity? Social media is terrifying.

(I almost went to go see her with the ATL Collective with Adron to play Paul McCartney's album RAM...yikes)
