DR Robert Anderson, of Glasgow University's forensic medicine department, said 70 new drugs appeared on the streets of Europe last year - many of them extremely toxic and very dangerous. SCOTLAND’S streets are being flooded with deadly new drugs that are being sold on as ecstasy, a leading forensic expert has warned. As well as using highly dangerous new “legal highs”, dealers will add anything from ground glass to rat poison and horse tranquillisers to bulk out their products and increase profits. Dr Robert Anderson, of Glasgow University’s forensic medicine department, said: “There were 70 new drugs last year alone appearing on the streets of Europe and lots of them will be finding their way into what is being sold as ecstasy in Scotland. “The problem we have is that they are being created so quickly, we have nothing to reference against when analysing them.

What I just dont understand, is when one of these articles comes out, they always say it in a way as if they are admitting that they know MDMA is safe. They say how dangerous drugs are being sold as ecstasy, instead of what it should be, hence what it should be is not a dangerous drug. Why not just make sure we DO know what is in pills then?!

Funny how heroin is part of their chart though, good old journalism.

Id like some proof to back any of this shit up, the only instance I can think is cocaine with levisamole. No point in killing your clients.
Also id love to get some of those horse tranquilizers! Lol no ones Cuttin pressed pills with heroin or ketamine when they could just sell them on there own id imagine for more money.

I had a pill that was ketamine (that we bought thinking was MDMA of a mate/dealer). Ages ago. Lucky we snorted it. It k-holed us hard. It must have been good ketamine or a good dose in the pills, as we were fcuked, we could hardly walk, see properly, talk properly and didn't know where we were for quite a while. The dealer we got them off later told us they were ketamine and it was all he could get. He gave us some money back. It was back in the early 90's when pills were very expensive, so I think maybe someone just pressed a heap of them as it might have been easier to flog it that way and make more money off it that way as ketamine wasnt as popular or known about back then in our rave scene, most people wanted E's. And E's were selling for double what they sell for now.

We knew it wasnt MDMA shortly after we had snorted them. We had never had effects off E's like this before, never and we'd had quite alot of good E's already.

Havent heard anything like that in my life time or scene but I dont doubt it bet that shit was scary.

Yeah, I was probably thinking it was getting pretty close for us to go as well, or to see the st johns ambulance team at the party (altho we couldnt walk to them, our friends would have got them to come over to our car in the car park).

Lucky we had another 10 or so close mates around us and someone suggested we have some speed/meth and we did and it really got us out of the hole and able to function again. Ended up being a mad night/morning, even bought another real pill later on.

Lmao so true. I always laugh when people tell me told me they got a pill with heroin in it. I always say "dude... no... you got a pill with MDMA in it for once instead of a bunch of shit meth and caffeine..."

People don't realize that MDMA isn't remotely speedy because, well, they almost never get pills that have any in it, and when they do, it's usually still cut with amps anyway. Good MDMA pills won't make you amped up at all though.


Whats piphenhydramine? Did't they mean Diphenhydramine?

Pills with Ketamine became very common in the UK in late 92/early 93. A lot of raves went from 1000's people jumping around like lunatics all night to looking like a casualty dept with ravers crashed out all over the floor.

I remember the book "E for Ecstasy" by Nicholas Saunders published in 1993 which had a lot of pill tests in it, many of them containing Ketamine.
