EADD seeks hot new mod action [THREAD SHOT ITS LOAD]

So it's that time again. We're looking for a new mod or two to help streamline the EADD experience, and see to the peaceful coexistence of its various inhabitants.

Modding EADD is fun and it's pretty damn easy 99% of the time :D So if you like fun and easy things, read the following and drop us a PM application :)


We're looking for someone who is harm-reduction focussed and has a reasonable degree of drugs-knowledge and experience who practises and will promote harm reduction. If you think you can commit to putting time into modding EADD by checking in most days, keeping up with all the posts, actively modding, enforcing the BLUA aka rules, be part of the mod team and still post regularly yourself - then we'd like you to apply!



If you would like to apply, please send a PM to Albion, MailMonkey , knock and snolly, with a brief summary of why you're up for the task.​


Please include the following information in your application:

  • Why you want to moderate EADD?
  • What relevant knowledge / experience you have of modding, drugs and harm-reduction?
  • How much time could you dedicate to modding?
  • How you would improve EADD?

It's been 2 months since MM posted, so probably him. Shame, but that's how these things are.
 
^Exactly. It's no big deal :) Mods come and go sure as the sun rises and sets each day.
 
We've got a female mod btw squeegee! She's called snolly :D But the more the merrier.

Or inbetweenies or whatever.
 
I don't think we need quotas and ting, but it would be nice to see a female mod this time - Kate and Effie are sorely missed..

Good as it would be to have a diverse group of people on staff, the truth is, most of our posters are male, white, and middle class. I don't think we've got any Africans on staff... or even any continental Europeans. Scottish is what counts as ethnic around here.

In the past, when seeking new staff for a forum, I've encouraged people to contact posters they think would make good mods, and "nudge" them to apply. Sometimes, people who hadn't considered applying can be spurred to by something as simple as a PM saying "plz apply, i'd like you to mod our forum".

babylonboy or shambles for me, both active, the majority of both there post's are informative and they seem to be knowledge about a wide range of drugs.

Or MDB/PTC for the laugh.
 
I think normal MDB is fine, it's just rabid phenazepam-fuelled lunatic MDB that would make an interesting mod ;)

To those saying I'd make a good mod, thank you very much, that's kind, but I'm afraid I'll not be applying.

You're kinda straight to the point, good thing in a mod (I think!?) Hence with PTC his said diplomacy skills + mod power would be a laugh. Maybe Raas too, jesus n'all that
 
Knock i gotta say actually, you've done a cracking job as a Mod, a well as staying an active EADD member. Props to you, there's not many who can successfully do that

Making Raas a mod would liven things up for a day or 2
