fuck sake man what are you doing?

Please don't make off-topic post after off-topic post, it's like a stream of consciousness and though it's cool you've got one we don't need it spread over the documentary thread like this :)

Karl Pilkington - An idiot abroad; the first 2 series.
Not so much the 3rd.

When Karl comes home is especially funny. Stephan Merchant, Ricky Gervais.
Mr Gervais I thought was waay overrated and full of himself. But the office is really a great watch, but Derek, life's too short (Warwick Davis) with johnny depp when he came up to his office and slagged him off for putting him down at the Oscars (playing pirates) . Maybe the interest is in the amazing actors they have in these shows? Captain Picarrd (Patrick Stewart) is a pure pervert in extra's.

When they met David Bowie was great at the end of extra's.

Sorry, I'm talking to myself.
Mr Gervais is a jerk but successful.
Stephen is a cheapskate.
Karl is true

The moaning of life, with Mr pilkington
To get back on track.

Sorry, I rant and rave knock. I'm doing my best to keep on topic.
I'll edit my posts in future to condense into one post.
It does take some practice, but I'll do better in future.

Idris Elba's series on cars and speed is OK. Just watched the first epiosde last night that id had recorded for a while. He started out as a humble tyre fitter in the east end of London before moving to America to try to find work as an actor. He was introduced to people over there as "my man from The Wire" and seemed to get loads of respect for that. I love hearing tales of people from humble origins doing well.

The Cannonball Run was a real event racing from New York to LA in 35 hours. It was a protest at the new 55 mph speed limit. They argued what was the problem in driving fast on long straight empty roads. I couldnt agree more. The police didnt intervene amazingly enough. The racers used CBs to ask permission from truckers to let them slip by on the inside if necessary, they regarded the truckers the owners of the road, and the respect seemed to be mutual, as the truckers were happy to oblige. Makes me want to watch The Cannonball run again, now i know it was a real thing.

^love that guy, although i havnt seen him as nelson mandela, everything else i've seen him in hes lways been in the same kinda roll, maverik / stringer bell type. Got the right kinda voice for it though, cheers pal those docs will take up a few hours :)

yeah and he doesnt even have to act or pretend to be a tough working class geezer. I was very surprised when i discovered that both Elba and Dominic West were English actors after watching them in The Wire. Also The Governor from The Walking Dead is English, as is Andrew Lincoln of course. All these Brits doing so well in classic American TV series makes me feel all patriotic.:\

You know Aidan Gillen (Tommy Carcetti) is Irish, too?

The white mayor? His campaign for public office is the central focus of the third series, no?
