‘The Last Round You’ll Ever Need’: The Awesome New Bullet Billed as a ‘One-Shot Manstopper’

Gun owners who prefer a hollow point design to a full metal jacket might have found a new favorite.

G2 Research (G2R) released it’s new Radically Invasive Projectile (R.I.P.) this month, hoping to “take the civilian and law enforcement markets by storm, and truly become the last round you’ll ever need.”

G2R, based in Winder, Ga., highlights that the bullet points are manufactured with trocar angles — or simply put, edges with three angles reaching one point — to “penetrate the dermis layer more efficiently.”

The G2R website explains the R.I.P. acts like a full metal jacket when it impacts solid objects: “It is capable of going through barriers such as sheet rock, plywood, sheet metal or glass and still performs its original intent. The bullet shreds through solid objects and only then, expands its energy.”

Gun owners often choose to use expanding bullets as a safety measure to avoid over-penetration — referred to as a through-and-through — and to eliminate potential ricochets. Solid bullets can bounce unpredictably wildly off of solid rocks and concrete, exponentially increasing danger to bystanders.

Cliff Brown, G2 Research President, told The Blaze that excitement for the new round “went viral” after they visited the Las Vegas Shot Show in January, and published their research videos online.

.

“We went around and talked to several vendors and it knocked their socks off,” Brown said. “I’ve been in the ammunition business for many years and I wanted to create a round that would work well against a home intruder — there were so many stories out there about a woman trying to defend her home and having to shoot someone five or six times and they’d still come after her, we wanted to create an effective one-shot manstopper.”

“This bullet is designed to take out all your vital organs…inferior bullets won’t be a problem anymore,” Brown said. The company president stressed prevention of law enforcement injuries was a primary focus for the round designers.

“The R.I.P. will not defeat level 3A body armor, that was one of our main goals when designing this bullet,” Brown said.

The company’s site adds that G2R has tested the new round with numerous fully automatic and semi automatic firearms, as well as rifles. They claim to have zero failures when testing most well known firearms on the market including Sig, Glock, Beretta, Springfield, FN, Taurus, Walther, Khar, S&W and many others.

Expanding bullets are illegal in some areas, such as New Jersey, unless they are driven directly from the place of purchase to the home or to the range. However, most states allow expanding bullets for use in self defense.

and they say us druggies are the problem :)

Youre not alone Dan, im on ignore too n ive been her friend on n off for a year. Only trying to give advice-AGAIN.

Foolsgold if your into the fancy bullets have you seen the DragonBreath shotgun rounds ? There are a few of these exotics for sale and some just leave you wondering why !

There is one filled with nails (to remove snipers from trees I believe [A common problem?]).

Yowzers, Bear! "Novelty" ammo for the seriously psychopathic and then some 8(

"Make that intruder think twice!!!" - somehow I doubt said intruder gets to think once with most of that shit. How many different forms of projectile do you need in the one cartridge? Genuinely shocked that explosive shotgun rounds are legal anywhere too. And pre-made booby traps? 8o

Fortunately we all know that the firearms murder and gunshot wound levels in the US are entirely coincedental to the incredibly lax firearm laws. Even Charlton Heston knows that he was in the Bible and everything. Sort of.

Never did get the obsession some folk have with guns. Other than that shotgunning thing you see soldiers doing in Vietnam clips sometimes - that's a perfectly acceptable reason to own a firearm. Just keep it loaded with ganga instead of "Exploders," "Zombie Killers" and "Satan's Toothpicks" and their ilk and everybody's happy.

(although those mini bolo things are kinda snazzy... in a rather twisted way)

i just posted it because i was like fuck look at that damn thing bear going to check your like out now :)

The "Flame Thrower" round as pictured produces an enormous wall of fire for 100+ feet. The incendiary metal compound contained inside burns when fired at over 4000 degrees fahrenheit, showering your target in a momentary wall of flame. Because magnesium is an ingredient in this payload you will need to clean your gun after you use this round. The magnesium won't scratch or melt your barrel it will foul it. For instance one Fireball will foul your barrel as much as 25 skeet loads. WARNING! Extreme fire hazard. Do not shoot in any dry grass foliage, trees, or near flammable materials. Don't shoot indoors. Use extreme caution. 2 3/4" round

A Flechette is a small dart shaped projectile, that is clustered in an explosive warhead, dropped in a missile from an airplane or fired from a hand held weapon. One unique application of this 1" Flechette was to load these in a 12 GA. shotgun for taking out snipers hiding in thick brush or trees. Due to the penetration of these projectiles, tree limbs and brush would not disperse the darts. Even if some were dispersed, this would still have an all-covering pattern within a tree or brush. These were heavily utilized during the Viet-nam era, often referred to as the “beehive” round. Generally 28 of these darts are placed in each 12 GA. shell,18 in each 20 GA shell and 8 in each .410 shell. Also known as "Satan's Toothpicks" 2 3/4" round.

The lethality contained within the hollow core slug of our terminator 12 GA almost can't be advertised. Upon impact, this slug mushrooms and expands to nearly two inches, stopping the slug from totally penetrating your objective. This rapid expansion forces the dozen of tiny pellets to spread through your objective like a cancerous disease, opening an area at the impact point equal to a softball. The cavity created has the shock effect of 95%. That means only 5% of any living being could survive this kind of hit. 2 3/4" round

it a good job i live in the uk i would be one hell of a gun toting redneck otherwize lol
