I was wondering if GodandLove was your alt, Raas? Forgot to ask you about it before it got banned

I've been posting in the lounge pretty consistently for a month. It's been okay. trolling smug fuckwits who think theyre clever is entertaining occasionally


Shambles and Lonewolf shouldnt EVER be compared. Two completely different categories of poster.

It can be. I've enjoyed it sometimes but it really is like shooting fish in a barrel - just not sporting really. Poor lil lammikins don't even realise half the time.

2. You forgot to mention that Tude is Moderator for Education and Careers. Which goes perfectly with the rape gags I recon. Very complimentary.

There's a questions thread there, and I asked the question 'How much fluid does the average person urinate in a day'
She refused to answer because it's 'nasty' (ie: urine) .

And I bet I get the blame for all this lounge talk and trying to cause a rift. Even tho I didn't bring it up

Newp. I did post a pic of placenta in EADD tho, and knockers went off on one and NSFWd it tho, acting for the majority that might see it and be offended, atho, strangely no one reported it. He was exercising his mindreading skills ;p. He was being a douche for the first time. Luckily he's not normally a douche and is nice.

BUT 4 posts down from my placenta edit ... he did leaves Ceres's pic of a drawn woman smeered in, and eating shit in full view

I'll give him a 9/10 overall tho.

Urine FACT!

Found out recently that every mammal that weighs over 1kg takes (approximately) the same amount of time to empty their bladder. There's an equation for it and everything :D

(20-40 seconds from memory but might've been 40-60)

(and it's because of the ratio of bladder size to urethra in case anybody wondered why that should be the case)

I used to post a lot in the Lounge's random image thread. I like DexterMeth a lot, he's very endearing. The others...meh...Their bluelight personas don't grab me. I've gotten to know ChemicalSmiles quite well outside of bluelight though and he's a decent guy. I've also drawn a portrait of DamagedLemon and posted it to her in Singapore before, haha.

That was my point. It's like sets at school. Did you have sets?

Drugs in the media would be Set 1, with all the swots and prefects. EADD would be set 2. And lounge would be Set 5 who get all the support teachers. Different category of posters.


No, I don't do alts. Not just because I know it's an offence worthy of exclusion, but I don't have that kind of time to waste.
 
I think Other Drugs, excluding the moderators (since the best teachers are needed for the worst pupils), would be the bottom set dropout class. The Lounge is lunchbreak.

In placenta news, I've only ever seen one. Completely randomly sat on top of out bin one afternoon when I was in me teens. Well, not completely randomly cos MamaSham had just given (home) birth to my youngest brother. Still a surprise cos they planned to eat it so wasn't expecting to see it staring up at me when I put the rubbish out. Big buggers ain't they?!? 8o

i tend to agree. a lot of people take a casual look at the lounge and it appears one way: juvenile; aggressive; something-ist; etc. but, like most forums on bluelight (including eadd), it has a zeitgeist and regulars and there's more to it after one has observed it for longer or broken through the initial, and inevitable, hazing and participated.

not quite but here are some actual numbers:

lounge posters and the percentage of forum posts created by them (last 6 months):

top 5 23.75%
top 10 39.96%
top 20 59.87%
top 50 86.41%

eadd posters and the percentage of forum posts created by them (last 6 months):

top 5 26.16%
top 10 40.09%
top 20 59.47%
top 50 86.46%

so you're critical of the lounge because a small number of regular posters post the huge bulk of the forum content when eadd is exactly the same (in fact, in the case of the top 5 posters and top 10 posters, it's actually 'worse') :)

^ Ali, the actual contents posted by those two comparable brackets are off the scale different tho, in terms of quality of content posted. If you did an average characters per post comparison of the same groups EADD would floor TL, and while quality > quantity .... y0, faggot isn't quality

Yeah, it's kinda cliquey sometimes. and distinct sets of idiots who usually start posting at a certain time of day which is when I get bored and piss off because theyre so fucking mindnumbing, but there's actual genuinely funny posters as well, quite a few intellgent posters.

i'm just trying to get past the knee-jerk emotion and demonstrate that the two forums actually have quite a lot in common but i understand that, when you're close to something, it's hard to view it objectively.

there's a 'lounge rule' i like to quote to loungerats when i feel they're guilty of dishing it but being able to take it, so to speak: when you're having a laugh at somebody's expense it's called "lulz" when others are having a laugh at your expense it's called "faggotry"...

is it possible there's a double standard at play when you talk about "trolling smug fuckwits who think theyre clever is entertaining occasionally" but if a lounger dares to do the same in here, everybody has a shit? maybe. maybe not. :)

i hope you and i can, at least, agree that thenighwatch is the most annoying loungefailer? :)

For someone into education moderating, I thought it was a prissy attitude. Esp cos on a HR level, it's often good to be aware of your intake and outake (I have to measure mine occasionally for docs) .. and understanding how colour is important. It's something to keep an eye on especially when doing Ket and Mxe

I understand the difference between the two places and like em both, altho EADD will always be home.

The idiots is indeed an ace flick, saw it at the cinema.

And sorry, no can do about the TNW. Mainly because he's the only one who acted with any decorum at all when the Mugz/Paris thing happened. That situation was insanely badly moderated for a number of reasons and he was supportive to mugz and dealt with the situation correctly. Kudos to him for that, it's something I'll never forget.

[edit] I dont see the double standard about trolling .... I would welcome with open arms any lounger who wants to come over here if they think theyre 'ard enough and have a go ;p. Seriously. It's funny
 
never been on the lounge until now, just quickly looked through a few topic titles and it seems like most of them are revolved around juvenile humour (I feel well old and grumpy saying that, but it's true.)

yep will be sticking to EADD I believe.
