Opioids so um yeah tried hydrocodone...

Consider yourself lucky you did not feel anything because once you know what it feels like there you do not forget that feeling; it will be stuck in the back of your mind forever. Opiates/Opiods are not toys but im pretty sure you already know this. Iv'e been clean off opiates for roughly two weeks and it's not an easy thing to quit. If i were you i would stop now while you are ahead because hydrocodone leads to harder opiates and that's a fact my friend. You may not have a problem at first because everything may be going fine in your life right now but when that momment hits and everything isn't fine chances are you will go to opiates as a saftey net because they are very powerful drugs. It will convert your thinking on it's own and chances are you will get strung out. No one plans on becoming addicted, I sure as hell didn't. Just think of everything you have to loose. You will end up alone, broke, and sick. I can promise you that but chances are you will not take any warnings until it is too late.

Most people who use opiate use them to relax, numb feelings, reduce anxiety, etc. Theres a little bit of euphoria but like I say its not like other kind of drug you take to get high. The effect are more subtle.

And like Earthbounded said if you never took opiates you better say away from them, they are very addictive and cause physical and psychological dependence. Read a little bit about Opiate withdrawal that might change your mind. Its pretty much the worst withdrawal you can ever have with any drug.

I would apply what you are saying to benzos, but not opiates. Many people find opiates to be the most euphoric drug they have done. It makes me so euphoric that I love everything and everyone, and become the nicest most talkative person whilst on them. I don't think that Opiate Replacement Therapy would exist if that class of drugs wasn't euphoric.

You use them for pain relief mainly.

Again, tons of people find opiates to be extremely euphoric. I doubt that so many people would end up homeless from spending every last penny on opiates if all it did was give them a comfortable buzz.

You don't need dope to get a real opiate high. I found hydrocodone to be just as euphoric as heroin, but my tolerance was too high for hydrocodone to get me high anymore so I switched to dope to get the same kind of high that I once got from hydrocodone.

I was able to get high off of that dose when I first started, although I found 3 of the 7.5's (22.5mg) to be my sweet spot, and 4 of them (so 30mg) to be absolute bliss. Sometimes it takes a few times before a person can recognize the feelings they get from opiates that make them so euphoric, so perhaps that is what is going on here. Dosage could be an issue, but they should have definitely found 15mg to be euphoric, but they might need 20-30mg to really feel everything that the drug has to offer.

Tread lightly though, as once you get that feeling you may chase it for the foreseeable future.
 
I never said you needed to shoot dope to get a good opiate high my favorite opiate highs were back when I was snorting oxymorphones
