You missed the third more current meaning which basically means stupid. If someone says to their buddy "Quit acting gay" they most likely don't literally mean quit acting like a homosexual. But whatever... He's obviously goading me on purpose because of our past. When he gets called out as he is here I guarantee he will resort to saying that he meant the second meaning, but I know what's going on here. I've seen him do the same sort of thing before.

The cartoon being gay in a festive way doesn't even make sense since the cartoon itself is rather somber at least as a whole. Although I did post 1 or 2 non-serious posts in that section, I'd really rather not be trolled by moderators in threads about childhood memories of Christmas. It's just plain disrespectful.

Nutty, Alasdair is like the cheeky uncle of Bluelight, he says what he wants and he may get drunk at christmas time but deadset he never fiddles with anyone.

He's a mad unit, chill out and if you have a problem with someone on here, either PM them in private or report his comment.

Mods and admins may be mods and admins but at the end of the day they are volunteers that take the time out of their day to do their jobs here, without any pay for sure but highly often without thanks either. They are the same cone smoking joe citizen 9-5 bros sisters mums and dads like the rest of us.

Maybe there is some back story here that I'm not aware of, but in my opinion you're totally over-reacting. Looks like you're making a big deal out of nothing really.

i did not mean it in the sense of the second definition so you're quite wrong there. you offered a guarantee - what will you do as you are demonstrably wrong?

i meant that it's kind of stupid. so, in summary, i posted an opinion that the cartoon "the snowman" is stupid. i didn't say anything about you. if you feel i did, you're taking the comment a little too personally and perhaps you're blowing a light-hearted comment a little out of proportion.

feel free to pm animal_cookie to take a look at this if you feel it needs further attention.

I remember that cartoon.

I agree that it was pretty gay.

Come to think of it, the winter holidays are pretty gay as well. There was a Christmas song telling us to don our gay apparel as well.

Sometimes people feel that the use of the word 'gay' = stupid = acceptable. Sometimes people who are gay = homosexual = don't think the same way.

The thread was not in the 'Lounge', the post was from the sites 'Director of public relations'.
