The EADD a trifle annoyed thread.

God I want trifle.

Mrs Snolls has been having kidney trouble and was meant to go for bloodwork today but missed it. Vaguely annoyed because she's had various problems with them all her life and is meant to go for twice yearly check ups but hasn't in years and was asking me over the weekend if I'd stay with her if she had to have an operation. So she could have bloody gone and got her blood tests done. Worry about her and I love her, innit.
 
Yep yep! My kidneys are perhaps the only thing where, as soon as they start to hurt, I'm straight down the docs, piss tested, and off with antibiotics. Not summat to mess around with, so I wish she wouldn't, especially with prior history.

And I'm not fucking donating one, it took long enough to get me into outpatient surgery never mind having an organ yoinked out.

Awh that's sweet. Maybe she's frightened? Sometimes when people are frightened they put things off n ignore them, hoping they will go away. Could you offer to go with her? Sorry this is happening.

I think you might be right Evey, and that's a good idea, I know she's not great with hospitals so yeah. Will ask her if she's rearranged and offer to go with her next time. Would certainly explain it, I don't think she'd put her health at risk just because she can't be bothered to go.

I would, but she wouldn't ;)
 
I am just a bit more than a trifle annoyed thanks to the kid upstairs in the flat above me has constantly been jumping up and down on something for about 10mins now and the constant thump thump sound is starting to drive me fucking mad!

The thing I can't remember the name of that indicates where you're about to type on the screen keeps randomly skipping up a few lines while I'm typing. Not knocking my wrist on the touch pad so I assume something is wrong or we have ghosts that are dedicated to being annoying in a very specific manner.

edit: I think it begins with an 'I'? Someone tell me, it'll do my head in now I've realised I can't remember
 
It is also sometimes know as an Insertion Point, particularly in word processing.

The mouse pointer is also called a cursor, which is a bit confusing. I stick to calling it the pointer.

Insertion point will do me! And pointer is far more descriptive :D
 
Doctor's surgery states on its website: 'call after 5.30pm for test results'. Phone at half 5, 'sorry we are currently closed...'.

I assume there's a separate number for results and it just isn't on their site. Either that or they're just shit.
 
Do they close early on one day of the week? I know my surgery does a half day on a Wednesday. Maybe they've not accounted for that or summat?

Otherwise that is a bit shitty, like.
 
Possibly, didn't think of that. As far as I'm aware they close at 5 but schedule appointments til 6 so maybe that's what happened. I just assume the worst =D
 
Just paid a £46.50 fine for failing to renew SORN on my motorbike. I'm not annoyed about that, but slightly miffed to discover they've just made SORN indefinite so it doesn't need to be renewed any more. Paying a fine for an obsolete offence :!
