Jobseeker's Allowance Megathread ver. The Jeremy Kyle Fan Club

His as rich as Knock, I bet he has shares in Africian slave trading.

If I remember right you walked out of your job, I don't blame you really if they took you as a cunt & I remember your post on here, you seemed quite pissed off & I have respect for people that take no shit from some Nazi boss, sadly the JSA people don't agree with our views.
If I remember right if your job ended because you caused something to happen which lead to it's ending your not allowed to get a benefit, those were the rules under Labour & now these Tory swines are in power & are cracking their Max Mosley Nazi style whip I am sure the rules will be 100 times tighter.

I wish you luck, if I were you I would have put in my forms the next day after walking out. If they won't give you JSA you may be bale to get hardship like me but that's only £44 a week sadly. I have to save out of a whole month to get 1 gram of MXE, what kind of damn system am I living under I often think.

yeah, the rules change if you volunatarily quit for w/e reason apart from health related reasons. You wont be able to claim normal JSA for several weeks/months (dont know exactly) but you can claim contribution based JSA which goes on your national insurance payments over the previous 2 years, and you can get that regardless if you have £100,000 n the bank or not. Im not sure how long you have to wait to claim that, but i think its quicker than normal JSA.

My fucking accountant told me that I didn't need to claim any benefits. He said I would be a millionaire! I'm not!

no money since the 20 of last month and still not sorted out my claim sod going in till this afternoon now to sign on

To which, they'll just sanction you delaying your money even longer. To which I'm sure you'll moan about it being their fault..

I've got to pick up a sicknote tmrw which means I've now got to switch from JSA to ESA and with it being xmas soon I bet they fuck up my money and I won't be able to do anything about it as they'll be closed over xmas.
Nothing is ever as straight forward as it should be.

So I'm now ready to leave the house and go to JCP. I'm having a berroca before I go. So any last minute tips? I want careers and training advice, and benefits advice.

My main strategy is not to answer any questions that sound like they'd put in me in trouble. I'll say "I'm not really sure, I'll need to check" if they ask me how much money I've got or anything like that. Which is kinda true. I don't have all that information to hand.

Any other hot tips though?

I've finished my berocca, you've got one minute <3

Really? Well I'm all dressed, stimulated, kratomified, wired for music and ready to go, so I'm going to go anyway. I'll report back.
