Opioids High Fat Meal After Opiate Ingestion

thats a different topic regarding benzos, this is opiates. make a new thread or we're going to have derailment everywhere. it probably doesn't affect your benzos but after eating a large meal you're activating the reward pathway, and you're also increasing serotonin in the brain. by taking a benzo you're reinforcing that behaviour - and you think its producing more of a buzz, when in reality all the extra feeling is mental. sorry bud. as the oral BA of most benzos is pretty much 100%, food won't affect anything apart from the rate of absorption.

also, when you're taking an opiate or any drug on an empty stomach for that matter, the drug is no longer competing with the food to be digested - its being given a free open space to absorb as quickly as possible, as your body will adapt to the situation of being hungry and not having enough nutrients, the first thing it does is attack whatever enters the stomach first to sap everything out of it as quickly as possible. unfortunately for your body when you feed it drugs all its doing is sapping drug out quicker and you're not giving it what it wants. but it does get you higher quicker in most cases, but it usually lowers the high duration as everything is sped up. as to your "i feel like crap when i don't eat".... well, who doesn't?? kind of a no-brainer. foods with high sugar content make the body eliminate the drug faster, same with anything that contains caffeine. both those these things increase the body's metabolism to an extent, therefore mean that you'll be getting rid of the drug faster. i don't know if anyone has noticed, but when you take amphetamine and a drug i get much higher but always peak earlier and crash earlier too, this is due to increased metabolism. vitamin C/acidic foods also cause amphetamine to wear off faster too, as acidic environments break down amphetamine much quicker.

Benzos? I don't think that they are affected at all by food... Amphetamines, definitely affected by urinary pH. Opioids, barely if at all affected by food, in my experience.

Benzodiazepines are pretty religiously unaffected by food, some people say GFJ has some impact on their breaking down but I have never noticed anything at all, but I use the sublingual ROA exclusively for benzodiazepines, the only thing I've noticed has any effect on it whatsoever is cigarettes, which make the effects of benzodiazepines practically disappear in a matter of minutes, in my experience.

the point was while on opiates... damn man i just posted about attitudes in BL but sure whatever i was an ass to ask.

ha not u tricomb go figure u come post before i can do anything.

thank you :)

i kinda was saying how does the blood sugar play into it while on opiates. im sry bout bein a lil defensive towards synthetix. just sayin. it was ironic. as derailing as i may have been with that. no beef.

speaking of cow meat... what about cow milk?? how does that play in to this stuff too like u know how u cant take milk w/ antibiotics because of the milk coagulating in the stomach or whatever.

obviously orally taking the said pill... whatever opiate u want (or otherwise if generally effects all pills being absorbed)

since we mentioned dairy products as a possible food... i think about this alot tho and try not to test it by not drinking milk when taking a pill, as long as i remember not to.

Just anecdotal evidence....

A fatty meal before or after oral oxymorphone ER always increased the high for me.

Actually I've only ever noticed this with the old oxymorphone ERs.

I think the calcium in milk can block/impede drug absorption , so lots of dairy is not the way to go with this "technique". What I like to do is just eat a little quantity of a very high fat food immediatly after taking oral opiates especially pod tea ; think piece of salmon ,olives , oiled sardines , piece of cheese. Definately increases absorption IME , you get the best of both worlds quick onset from empty stomach but long duration as with eating normally.
