Best way to retain a low drug tolerance?

You are wrong. Addiction depends on the person, not the drug. Furthermore, I came to ask a question about tolerance, not a request to be lectured by holier-than-thou people. I feel like the next thing that's going to happen is I'm going to be PM'd stuff about Jesus being my savior. This isn't a fucking Narcotics Anonymous website; it's a website where people can ask these kinds of questions.

Just to let you know Dr, this website is nothing like NA, but you will probably have to find that out for yourself. You are right that addiction depends on the person, and that there are many people who use opiates recreationally but there are many more who struggle with addiction. And they all started out doing exactly what you are doing now. If this is your attitude I can tell this game is not for you. Do yourself a favor and quit while you can... that is if you can.

You sound ridiculous. The things you are writing are textbook addiction 101, hah. You wouldn't be getting so defensive otherwise, man. I love it when new members who come here, think they are different than 99% of the population, and tell us we're wrong.. hah.

Come back in three years and let us know your progress... I'm sure you'll be in a great place by then.. 8(

But, whatever. It's no skin off our backs. Do what you want and be arrogant enough to think you're special and different. See you back here when you fall on your face and need help.

The only way to maintain a low tolerance is infrequent and low-dose drug use; invariably everyone who starts using drugs on a regular or 'binge' basis notices they start becoming less effective, and in some cases they build dependency (c.f. heavy cannabinoid usage, opioids, etc)

To an extent, yes, addiction does depend on the person more than the drug. Dependency, on the other hand, depends on the drug more than the person... and both of them feed into the other. The old adage that "nobody wants to be a junkie when they grow up" is pretty true.

To deny the fact that addiction is possible is to stare death in the eyes and tell him you hold the high cards. Rarely does it end well.

hey bro, chill the fuck out!! i've never done DMT! fuck that shit and all of you junkies!! ... ???

I agree with you. I work in a research ecology lab while getting my BS at school. I interact with my friends and work for a religious organization…. and still use. I just try to stay in control.

no, your healthy habits have nothing to do with tolerance, using the drug does. it doesnt matter if you live a sedentary lifestyle vs a healthy one, if youre popping them on a continual basis, your tolerance is going to build

if i were you twice a month or once a month is a good way to avoid tolerance build up. weekly is not going to cut it but thats just my opinion.

and obviously people who know what its like to have a high tolerance (whether "addicts" or not) are going to tell you why you shouldnt attempt to *not* build one by using weekly. they have experience, theyre just trying to warn you. if you want to avoid buildup use sparingly, once in a blue moon or something. cause if youre doing it once a week, thats too easy to build tolerance

Stick to using no more than 3 times a month. Also, just use one single dose to get high rather than redosing throughout the day.

Not all chronic pain patients turn into junkies. I have ben on the same Norco script for over 10 years, never ran out, never abused it. Screwed up a few imes sharing but learned from my mistakes. It takes discipline and a timer, take as prescribed.

I thought the same about this website; that you could come here and ask questions, share tips and learn more about various drugs. Im experienced in gabapentin, and I have posted a lot about how to potentiate it more to get the best out of it. Sure its not a 'hardcore' drug, but it is recreational for some. however there are some people here that are hell bent of making sure people dont try certain drugs, and shut down any threads that talk about it. This place is full of addicts and ex addicts with that holier than thou complexes you mentioned. Not everyone is an addict, lots of people use various drugs recreationally and function as normal, everyday citizens.

Best way to retain tolerecne is just to take time between doses. as in dont take it everyday. Maybe cycle drugs too, so take drug x for a month, then drug y the next month etc. tolerance builds if you take something regularly.

My best advice is stick with once a week and stick with the same dose, don't give in to the urge to up the dose.
Second piece - don't take so much that you get blitzed off your ass. Just enough buzz for a good evening
3) Stick with oral ROA. People who shoot, snort or smoke are asking for trouble, period.
4) BL has a laundry list of good pontentiators which you can use to boost the effect for a lower dose.

I've stuck to this routine for nearly 3 years and my tolerance has barely moved.

Take a six day break in between the one day use of a drug in a particular classification. If you are going on benders then limit it to once a month. Benzos as their tolerance proceeds so slowly IMO do not apply to this rule, but with benzos I would try and use them every third day or less.. but with stims and opiates this is a good rule.

I like that rule of sticking to the same dose. If you find that it has become less effective then take more time off between the doses.

What is your issue with people on this site trying to suggest to others not to make the mistake of becoming an addict? You know if a post is closed its becaudr its against the site rules or has been covered many other times. By holier than thou you probably mean much more knowledgable than thou. I have read some of your posts and the OP's posts and you both seem to have minimal drug use experiene and knowledge. You know most people with drug addictions also used drugs without being addicted at 1 time, so don't boast this BS like since you haven't reached that point yet that you are impervious an it'll never happen.

You ve obviously made better choices than him? In all of your 15 years?

Darn, wish I hadn't started smoking at that age

No, really, that's how you're making yourself seem. Give up the rebellious post-adolescent attitude or the only money you'll be making will be at gas stations and loans from dad until 29

Fuck it, ban me, he's a smug little douche who needs to work on his anger issues. I try. Why can't he.
