STIMULANTS: Need you'r OPINION/Help relating to the brain.

Hey guys,

I take stimulants most every day to help with study and other.

Now, take last night for example (Comedown).
I felt:
- slow, low, sad, don't care about anything, nothing was motivating, extremely just bugged out, etc. AND NOT WANTING THE STIMULANT, it was the last thing I wanted.

This morning:
I feel:
- Like the dopamine in my brain or something, I want to play video games and I also wanting to take the stimulant but also extra dosages too.
So what's happening here in my brain

Please please please.

thank you.

Hi Aiir,

This is perfectly normal.

Legitimately this is exactly what stimulants can do. Last night you just didn't feel the normal "great" times people have while under the influence of (meth)amphetamines, (this is why they are consumed) but as you say you take stimulants on a regular basis. It sounds like they're changing things up inside the brains trust department for real.

Stay off the gear for a bit, keep sober for a few weeks. You will not regret this course of action.

People build a mental dependency on stimulant use like any other drug, your brain intuitively thinks "maybe I should take stims" when you are bored or want entertainment, because that's what the reward circuitry in your brain wants to do.

Yeah....you're reward, happiness, and good mood center is what it works on. Don't do it too much. You won't find anything pleasurable or rewarding anymore if you drain your dopamine and cause a deficiency. Your motivation will be gone and you'll have a worse memory than before.
I mean, this takes awhile mostly, but it can happen fast if you let your self go and before you know it you're doing it twice a week, staying up two days straight....and you have to take a small amount just to get out of bed and do daily routine.
If you're prescribed to it, your dosage won't work anymore, and you'll have to stop cold on them until you can rebuild proper brain functioning again.
And if you do too much one time, cuz tolerance builds daily, then your body will do that crazy comedown tingly heart pounding thing that every one comes on here posting about...freaking cuz they're going to OD...

Then you will have it like all the time because you are fearless and tolerance is high. And it's just not fun anymore.

Trust me. Just chill out and maybe like once a month or something take an extra 20mg to stay up one night a little bit.

i feel the same way in that no one should take stimulants every single day. you need breaks in between usage to remember what normal is like.

This is exactly what happened to me when I was prescribed vyvanse. For a couple of months everything was a-ok, taking drug 'holidays' on the weekends and excelling in school. But at the end I knew I had to give it up - it got to the point where I would tell myself I wasn't gonna take vyvanse again the next day, but then the shitty feelings in the morning come and I was popping two or three vyvanse pills so I wouldnt be so bored and depressed during the day.

So yeah OP that might happen to you. I would always make an excuse like 'well I want to play video games all day today so I'll just take it today and skip tomorrow'. Tomorrow comes around and it's another excuse. I'm glad I stopped taking it to be honest - it was great at first but a couple of months in, the effects lasted maybe 1.5 hours and I would crash all day long.

HELP! Stimulant comedown, psychical break down coming.

Hi,

I have gotten very little sleep in the past days and at the moment have been coming down from a Stimulant.
In my total 3-4 years I have never gotten it like this.

I feel like I am going to die, my body just feels exhausted, (but keep in mind that the heart rate is ok and all that).

The question is:
What is gods name is this please?. Why do I feel like I am going to psychically break down. In the past I got mental breakdowns, but never this feeling of psychical break downs.

I
NEED Your STATEMENT on how to stop this?. WHAT SHOULD I DO BEFORE my body explodes... seriously, This needs annoying or something.

other thing is the comedown is very brain dead too , i can't think or use my brain correctly.

NOW, weather you hate me or not you must do because I ask help question but man I need some advice please thank you.

i have never ever agreed that alcohol can help a comedown, but this time I am on the edge. I feel like something in my brain or body, or even something else like lift itself will just all melt down or stop.

any ideas here please thanks. thy
any ideas here please?. PLEASE thank you. thank you.

try taking some benzos, drink lots of water and juice, eat fruit and veg and just rest. your body is just recoviring it will get better

You probably havent eat and drink properly during these 4 days + lack of sleep, your body is weak for this reason. If you can get hand on some Quetiapine (Seroquel), this could get you some sleep and help with the comedown.

^^^^ ALtough i hate quetiapine, it complete knocks out the after effects of stims and will put you down like an elephnat. If not try to eat, fruits and vegetables, hydrate yourself well, and smoke some weed if it calms you. Be careful though because weed can heighten the amphet paranoia.

Lack of sleep can make you feel like you are dying. Go to sleep or either seek medical attention.
Hi, thank's for your advice.

Yes, I am 100% fine. My brain is fine, my body is fine, and my health is fine. Now, it was indeed the sleep that was giving me the lack of energy. I apologize for using the term, as it may have made one feel bad or worse, and in fact we should not aim for that but as the forum is at the same time we need to keep people up to check and good <3:)

no joke, you need some sleep. sleep deprivation always use to make me feel like that. body is completely exhausted, hard to remember and recall things that are really easy to remember. So I would make sure that you eat correctly, lots of foods packed with vitamins and minerals, maybe take some melatonin and try to go to sleep. or an asprin or ibuprofen or drink a couple shots of hard liquor OR my personal favorite, try drinking a couple big gulps of Nyquil. that shit will knock you out quick and if you are concentrated on trying to get some sleep then you will. just lay down and relax. If I were you, make sure to again, drink lots of fluids and water and relax. once you get some rest you will be just dandy!

Hi,

I was once servery addicted to Stimuants, to where I was Stimulant = life. And all I cared about was getting stimulants. I did not get the stimulant until I became addicted again, as you know how addiction works if you have trough it. it is awful, truly awful. one word, it is awful and only awful. it is pretty lame, because it is like you're brain changes for that time and you become someone different, or something forms in your brain .

Anyway,

Do you know what is under addiction?.

Following symptoms:
- When on Stimulants, I kinda think about them a lot or they have some value. (really wish they did not but they do).
- When I use the Stimulant, some part of the brain is like "YES, this guy used the Stimulant. It is like something needs to hit/get on a receptor or something , any idea? . ???
- The interesting thing is, when on the Stimulant and while it works I don't 100% stop any wanting for alcohol or any other drugs. If you put a glass of Whisky in front of me I would not drink it when on the Stimulant. I just would not want it, my brain would stop me from drinking it.

Does anyone have any info regarding this please?
Thanks!

Hi,

Great advice, really good thank you.

Regarding the asprin or ibuprofen.
I firstly know that I would never take them just to take them and follow the direct instructions on the package (just to note).
Anyway, I have really good interest in this, will they help me to go to sleep or???

Thank You.

dude you couldnt even form proper sentences, all these "help I took STIMULANT! Plz thank you! " threads = insanity. Unless your girlfriend helped you write this last post (which was immensely better) you should just quit amphetamines forever

yeah, when you have your drug of choice (for you, you call it "STIMULANT") you do not feel like you need whisky or any other drug. This is normal, also the reverse, I.E. craving other drugs while you're/Because you're stimulated is ALSO normal. It tends to cause spikes in either less drug use, or MORE drug use. depends on the person.

Amphetamine benders, when they go on long enough, often wind up like that for me. As has been said, you need to let yourself pass out. Chances are youll wake up after a few hours too dehydrated, dizzy and nauseous to do much other than feel even worse. Go force a bunch of kuice down and something along the lines of a peanut butter jelly sandwich or two. Crawl back into bed safe in the knowledge that when you next wake up, you'll be much closer to a human being than you are now.

Take care... and in future, tough as it may be, try to be sensible on speed and eat and drink little bits here and there.

Certainly agreed... It's all part of the experience if you do not like it do not touch amphetamines i reckon...

Also, if you physically feel like your body is explode there is only one place to go for that and I think we all know where. (ER, not a forum where your next response could be hours later or a troll).

If you want to keep staying awake for days on end, I would suggest making sure you get plenty of sustenance and sunlight (not just florescent light). Make sure you have something to do so you arn't worrying about your current state all the time, but keep checks on your body still. And finally when you start to feel shitty like you said, just lay down it may not seem like you can go to sleep, but let your body lie still for a while it will help.

I would not like to meat you in a medieval battle, as it would result IN SERVE damage.
