Ok so I think I'm experiencing withdrawal symptoms from taking too much etizolam over the past week. Is it worth trying to take something like Nytol to help me get to sleep; will it work? Is it a better idea to take a low dose of etizolam to get me to sleep?

I took 4mg at once for the first time two days ago, to be honest I'm surprised I feel at all different but my muscles are tense, I'm feeling anxious and I can't sleep so I presume etizolam is to blame as it is uncommon for me to feel this way.

thanks

How much have you taken over the past week? None in the last how many days except that 4mg dose on Monday?
It could be but you probably wouldn't have w/d symptoms after just a week of even heavy use.
Most people agree Etizolam has a fairly low ceiling of effects though, and more than a 2-3mg is often wasted.

could it have to do with his metabolism?

You omitted some crucial information, how long have you been taking etilzolam? Do you take or have access to any other benzodiazepines? It is never smart to quit any benzodiazepine cold turkey, not only is it uncomfortable but it as actually dangerous. The symptoms you described are characteristic of benzo withdrawal. Taper off if you are going to quit. Nytol will make you drowsy, but it won't help any of the other symptoms you described.

Has everyone forgot about rebound anxiety? Even if you don't suffer from extreme anxiety you should have some rebound anxiety symptoms after using a benzo, even etizolam. I know whenever I use benzos I am noticeable more anxious the day after & I have never suffered from an anxiety problems. Probably not a physical WD but just extreme rebound symptoms.
