I am currently taking 30 mg vyvanse, along with lexapro, trazodone, and low dose benzos. I would like to keep the amphetamine dose as low as possible while remaining effective. I take an absorbable zing/Mg/B 6 supplement every night and a B and D vitamin supps in the morning, from my research these seem to be the most useful vitamins to supplement with. I am especially curious about the racetams, thiamine derivatives like Sulbutiamine, and adrafinil. Or anything that is cheap and easily available (not just thru RC sites). Again I don't care about increasing recreational effects just concentration, wakefulness, motivation, and delaying tolerance.
I have done research on various nootropics but it seems there are conflicting theories as to how they work. I was wondering if there is any newer, more reliable data. Have read about piracetam enhancing communication between the brain's hemispheres, increasing Ach transmission, effects on NMDA glutamate receptors. I have also read claims that it helps with everything from learning, depression, bipolar mania, as well as potentiating most drugs with no side effects. I'm always skeptical of such claims. I've tried it in the past however I was also drinking heavily at the time so I can't really draw conclusions about it, but I didn't really notice much. Seems to me that if it really potentiated the effects of so many drugs I would have found info about dangerous interactions.
Any insights or links would be appreciated.
