are you talking about hawkwind dumping him or motorhead ? I dont know this story. :o

He looks like a guy who get treated with respect. Hes done better without hawkwind anyway, i dont know much about hawkwind tbh but Motorhead were pretty awesome, i guess Hawkind would never have been that good, or ever had exactly the motorhead sound.

motorhead and hawkwind are two total different styles but if lemmy hadnt been in hawkwind motorhead would never of been

With Lemmy Kilmister‘s health issues, Motorhead have not had much opportunity to promote their excellent ‘Aftershock’ album, but the rocker says there’s still plenty of music left in him, including a solo disc.

In a new interview in Revolver magazine (excerpted by Blabbermouth), Kilmister says, “I ain’t done yet with the music. After I get better, we’re gonna try to tour again, and if I can’t do that full-on, I want to do another album with Head Cat, and, of course, I want to do a couple more Motorhead records. But the next thing I’ve got coming out is my solo album, which is almost done.”

While it is a solo album, there are some guests on the effort. Lemmy explained, “I still want to do a track with [Skunk Anansie's] Skin before I put it out. There are two tracks with the Reverend Horton Heat, two with The Damned, a track with Dave Grohl and a track with Joan Jett.”

As for what fans can expect, he concluded, “Right now, we’re thinking of calling it ‘False Teeth for the Deaf.’ It’s all just great rock ‘n’ roll, that’s the only way to describe it. Some of it is bluesy and some isn’t. It’s not Motorhead, but obviously there are elements in common.”

Anthrax‘s Scott Ian has just announced that he’ll be releasing an official memoir. The beloved thrash guitarist has teamed up with prolific journalist Jon Wiederhorn to pen the book, which will be titled ‘I’m the Man.’

Scott Ian has surely lived a life worth reading about. As a founding member of Anthrax, Ian has experienced the entire lifespan of a small New York City metal band turned commercially successful and eventually iconic over the past 30-plus years. Having released 10 albums with Anthrax and three full-lengths with Stormtroopers of Death while touring the world many times over, you know Ian has got some good stories to share.

‘I’m the Man’ promises to cover Ian’s life from his upbringing “in a dysfunctional home, and his escapism into the turbulent world of heavy metal.” “Why a book?” asks Ian. “Because I think my story can connect with anyone and, if I was able to make the life I wanted for myself happen, then anyone can. I’m really excited to be writing a book because the idea of getting forty-something years of stuff out of my brain and onto the page seems very therapeutic. Plus if I didn’t do it now, I’d start forgetting and wouldn’t be able to share all these killer stories with you, my friends!”

Jon Wiederhorn, who has contributed to Loudwire in the past, has made his mark on the world of metal, having released two acclaimed books this year: “Louder Than Hell: The Definitive Oral History of Metal’ and ‘Ministry: The Lost Gospels According to Al Jourgensen.’

‘I’m the Man’ is currently scheduled for a Fall 2014 release via Da Capo Press.

Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has pleaded guilty to numerous child sex offenses. Watkins’ trial for a large number of sex crimes was scheduled to begin this week, but having “furiously denied” the alleged offenses in the past, Watkins shocked the court by pleading guilty before the trial officially started.

Earlier today (Nov. 26), Watkins pleaded guilty to a total of 13 charges including two counts of attempted rape and a count of sexual assault of a child under 13. One of the children in question was less than a year old. Additionally, Watkins admitted to three counts of sexual assault involving children; six counts of taking, making and possessing indecent images of children; and one act of possessing an extreme pornographic image involving a sex act on an animal.

As details have been unveiled, the story has become increasingly disturbing. Two women were originally arrested along with Watkins for the alleged sex crimes, and according to BBC, prosecuting barrister Chris Clee revealed that “both women sexually abused their own children and made them available to Watkins for him to abuse.” Evidence of the abuse came through text messages sent from Watkins. One text reads, “If you belong to me, so does your baby.” Another says, “She needs to know Mummy and daddy don’t love her.” Watkins also planned to “teach” the babies how to take drugs including crack cocaine.

One of the women associated with Watkins admitted to the attempted rape of a baby and sexual assault charges along with taking and distributing an indecent photo of the child. The second woman admitted to charges of conspiring to rape a child, three sexual assault charges and four charges of taking, possessing or distributing indecent images.

Wales Online has been live-blogging the hearing where Watkins pleaded guilty. According to the source, Watkins recorded his attempted rapes on film. The footage was found in “cloud” storage belonging to Watkins after Government Communications Headquarters cracked the singer’s password. Watkins claims that he does not remember the attempted rapes which were recorded. Wales Online also reports that the court has heard details regarding that case that “are too graphic to be published.”

“This investigation has uncovered the most shocking and harrowing child abuse evidence I’ve ever seen,” DCI Peter Doyle of the South Wales Police stated in the hearing. “There is no doubt in my mind that Ian Watkins exploited his celebrity status in order to abuse young children.”

Watkins and the two female defendants are scheduled to be sentenced on Dec. 18.
