Oh and technically a paedophile is only interested in pre-pubescent children, Hebephilia is defined as individuals with a primary or exclusive sexual interest in 11-14 year old pubescents. You dont hear that word used very often do you. And there doesnt seem to be any word for people that are attracted to 15 year olds.

Oh, I've had that word used in my presence once or twice...

You're right about this flying in the face of the media stereotype though. It really gives the lie to the idea that paedophiles are all sexually-frustrated, socially awkward individuals.

It says a lot about our lack of insight into the true nature of these matters that the very 'weirdest' and 'sickest' case is the one involving the defendant whom most would perceive as the most 'normal' .

I can't imagine he'll see the light of day again in a hurry.

It'll be interesting to see whether the tabloids suddenly take a massive interest in the case now it seems like there are lurid details aplenty waiting to emerge.
 
Watkins, with his hands clasped in front of him, rocked back and forth as he also admitted sexually assaulting a child aged under 13.

He also admitted aiding and abetting a female co-defendant to sexually assault a child under 13.

The singer, who has sold 3.5m records, looked at his feet as he admitted conspiracy to rape a child aged under 13, while his voice faltered as he quietly replied "guilty" to a charge of conspiring to sexually assault a child under 13.

He also pleaded guilty to possessing an indecent photograph of a child between August and December last year, a further charge of possessing four indecent photographs of children between August and December last year, and another charge of possessing five indecent images of children between last August and last September.

He also pleaded guilty to two counts of taking indecent photographs of children dating back to 2007 and 2008.

Watkins also admitted possession of indecent photographs of a child and possessing extreme pornography depicting a person engaged in a sex act with an animal.

The musician, from Pontypridd, will be sentenced at a later date.

A 21-year-old woman, who cannot be named, admitted aiding and abetting an attempted rape, aiding and abetting rape, two counts of sexually assaulting a child aged under 13 years, taking indecent photographs of children and distributing indecent photographs of children.

A 24-year-old woman, who also cannot be named, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child aged under 13 by penetration.

She also admitted charges of sexually assaulting a child under 13 by touching, conspiracy to rape a child under 13, conspiracy to sexually assault a girl under 13, two counts of indecent photographs of a child and distributing indecent photographs of children.

Maybe the other way around. Either way, one of them is the mother of the 1 year old.
 
Yeah, the 21-year-old girl (the mother of the 1-year-old) is apparently from Doncaster, and her identity is fairly well known.

In court, prosecutor Chris Clee QC has described Watkins as a "determined and committed paedophile".

When she responded with "A summer of incest and child porn" he replied: "Hell yes baby."

He told her: "The sooner we start training her the better."

And there was a conversation about "whoring out" the child as well as giving it crack cocaine.

Apparently Bobby Gillespie allegedly said in some of his interviews that he liked his girls "the younger the better". This was about 20 years ago way before all this mass hysteria about peadophiles, jim morrison sang "oh show me the way to the next little girl." Of course these people may have just been seeking attention and controversy but neither would dare say such things in todays climate. Fucks sake even keith richards says in his autobiaography they didnt ask to see any groupies birth certificates, and this sort of thing was going on all the time for them, probably for most of the the 'fuckin superstar' bands have the same thing going on. I suppose these days they get the bouncers/minders to clear out all the underage girls. Its a messy business though.

I think this sort of thing is far more common and widespread than is actually reported. One woman said she slept with John Peel when she was 15 and he was much older, but she didnt feel that hed taken advantage of her, she wanted it. This was the only scurrulous rumour to emerge about John Peel, not much was made of it, no one wanted to tarnish his beloved reputation. Its sad to say it, but in some ways its better that hes died rather than have his legendary reputation tarnished and dragged through the mud. Of course the line has to be drawn somewhere (16 legally /18 morally ?) and im not condoning taking advantage of underage girls for one minute.

Apparently Morrison changed the words from the original "show us the way to the next pretty boy", I guess he was trying to be less controversial! I sing this in the car all the time, I better be careful! The lyrics are adapted from a Bertolt Brecht poem. And were originally sung by a female prostitute, referring to her next client I suppose, in a play, before Jim got his hands on them. The lyrics, not the prostitute's clients.

i didnt know that ! I think hed probably change that line alltogether if they had all survived long enough to be rock n roll pensioners like the rolling stones. Just change the line to "show us the way to the next whisky bar" if your singing it where you can be heard lol.
