Favorite Psychedelic/Empathogenic Phenethylamines

If there's a thread for tryptamines why should phenethylamines be left out? Also, I think its a good way to get insight into which compounds are worth investigating further and which probably aren't worth the side effects, risk, time and/or money to explore. I find it hard to decide which of the 2C-t-x series is most worth trying first as I have a few available to me right now, so hearing which ones people like most is helpful.


Include only psychedelic, empathogenic/entactogenic phenethylamines, not stimulants like amphetamine or mephedrone (though the latter could be argued to be an empathogen I don't think it should be included. I don't know about something like Methylone, there is a fine line between empath/entactogens and stims)
Also give at least some indication of your experience with these drugs so we know what you are comparing things to. Either give your favorite, a couple favorites, or a ranked list.

I have used, so far, from most to least favorite:

MDMA (Needs no explanation, a truly beautiful compound.)
MDA (I love the increased psychedelia/stimulation from MDMA and it comes close, but I have to put it in 2nd)
2C-E (The most visual drug I have tried besides DMT. If it wasn't for the nausea and the very long come up this might even beat out the MDxx)
2C-B (Very very nice body feel, but doesn't compare to 2C-E in visuals and mental depth. This may change when I try it at a higher dose.)
25D-NBOMe (No bad side effects, but nothing special)
DOM (great headspace, terrible muscle cramps and lasts too long)
DOC, 25I-NBOMe, 2C-I in a 3-way tie.

I feel my top two might switch places after I try IV MDA, which I have a sample of. As soon as I get more micron filters I am going to attempt it. The trip report I read on this ROA for MDA sounded amazingly euphoric and psychedelic (I believe it was by Captain Heroin? I may be wrong though).

MDMA, MDA, 2C-C, 25C, 2C-D, 2C-T-7, and mescaline. None of the others are worth anything in comparison. Too much body load, not enough of anything else.

Mescaline goes first - its just quite simply indescribable with words.
MDA takes second - I prefer psychedelia and longer experiences. MDMA falls short and feels forced in comparison.
MDMA third - can't ditch the classic and for some things it is superior than MDA or mescaline, like if you need to be functional in the case of mescaline or you're prone to severe crashes with MDA
2C-D ties for third - it has its own special magic but if you mix it with just about anything, it quickly shoots up to second place
2C-C is fourth - I didn't get to have enough trips with this one to really place it and it doesn't have much character on its own at any dose unlike 2C-D
2C-T-7 is tied for fourth - it is definitely the most visual of any phenethylamine including mescaline but the body load is also among the heaviest, if not the heaviest of all of them
25C is last - too haphazard with the dosage and RoA to be in the top and significant vasoconstriction is a problem not to mention that it causes significant tolerance to psychedelics that lasts for some time

I would put 2C-E on here but it just doesn't have a place anymore in my opinion.

Other than mescaline, MDA, MDMA, and 2C-D there is a tryptamine that has all of the good things about phens with much less of the bad IMO. Even MDMA can be somewhat replaced by AMT pretty easily. Phenethylamines tend to be empty, over-stimulating, and pretty damn boring unless they're extremely toxic as is the case with 2C-T-2 and 2C-T-7.

So what tryptamine would you replace 2c-t-2/7 with? What about DOC?

2C-T4 was pure psychotherapy for me.
2C-E was travelling through the depths of my mind.
DOC is pure bliss
MDMA is coming home for me, a bit like mushrooms.

I find it hard to compare tryps and phens. To me it seems that tryptamines work on the Soul level. Phenethylamines work on the psyche/mind level.

MDA, MDMA, 2c-c, 2c-e, and 2c-d in that order. I love MDA, i'll take more visuals over less empathy when compared to MDMA. The duration is definately a plus as well. I tend to metabolize drugs very quickly which means MDMA lasts 3-4 hours tops with re-doses being very ineffective. 2c-c is great relaxing material, I'd rate 2c-e higher but the bodyload kinda prevents me from going deep, 2c-d is friendly while being deep at the same time but It's pretty expensive and I need more experience with higher doses. I hope to add 25d and DOC to that list soon. Too bad I waited too long before jumping on the 25x train as 25c sounds amazing.

So what tryptamine would you replace 2c-t-2/7 with? What about DOC?

5-MeO-AMT for 2C-T-2/2C-T-7 and I never touched any DOx. Too many failed batches of DOC when I was doing research chems and DOI was not even remotely appealing to me.

By the way, I'm not really bashing the amphetamines. I see a lot more value in the amphetamines than the simple phenethylamines overall.

MDMA is the only one I've used. Like it quite a bit. I'd say if mephedrone did come under the empathogenic phenethylamine part then I'd include it. I find MDMA more intense but I still enjoy mephedrone as much.

2C-T-7 will always rank at the top. Had it recently and just all around amazing material. Had the experience of it deconstructing me, then reconstucting me with only partial past memories so I had to piece life back together based upon partial information. Might have scared some travelers but this brain found the experience incredibly informative on the human condition. It also melted my social filters so I found myself in a state of *way* too much total honestly. I was with a close and trusted friend, so it was all good but I will never forget my friend saying, 'You said a lot of things I just tried to ignore."

And certainly the memories did come back by morning.

And hands down, the visuals are just astoundingly sexy.

Other good ones....

MDMA and MDA (of course).

2C-B, good all purpose psychedelic towards the recreational side.

2C-C, closest synthetic to mescaline I've had.

2C-D, like 2C-B...all purpose use but short and a bit more serious.

2C-E, the 'LSD' of the phenethylamines. Deep, heavy material.

Well, that is about it for me. I suspect I will love DOC when I get to trying it. Lococo, we have to find time soon!
