Heroin Migraines on Heroin?

Hey guys

Ive been using heroin for a while now, and every now and then, i will get extremely painful migraines when using, or more specifically 3-7 hours following my last dose. this has always woken me up either in the middle of the night or early the next morning. typically, normal migraine medications dont help much, and more heroin doesn't seem to fix it like it should (although i suppose opioids don't really help much for headaches or migraines). It has only happened with black tar heroin, and typically when i smoke it. I've only had it happen to me one time when i shot it, but i had also smoked some that day. i know these cannot be coincidental, seeing as i've only had migraines on heroin and methylphenidate, never had them while sober.

Any explanation for this? I'd never heard of heroin causing pain of any kind aside from when in withdrawal, much less migraines. is it the fact that i was smoking it on foil? it's such a weird phenomena, and after a quick google search, i learned that apparently a few others have reported the same piercing headaches a few hours after using heroin, but there is nothing close to an explanation that i've found yet.

When you say migraines, is it the whole gamut that comes with migraines or just a very intense,severe headache? (nausea, vomiting, flashing visuals, blurred vision etc).

I tend to get severe headaches pretty frequently when I smoke anything...Im a daily cigarette smoker and even with those if I smoke a little more than usual they give me a headache, a severe headache.

I mean full-on migraines, blurred vision, puking, the whole 9.
 
*sigh* i wish i could tell you why, but the best i can do is tell you it happens to me too. i exclusively shoot ecp also, so its not the tar necessarily, or smoking it.

i have noticed it most when i am regaining a tolerance, and even occasionally when things aren't quite full blown. maybe i have noticed a difference with purity/how refined it is (not all ecp is china white, lol). i think it could be connected throwing up though. like when you get dehydrated and can't even keep water down. but i agree about the time frame and all.

I've noticed it under two circumstances. First off is highly cut heroin. Second off is deep into a huge binge, and I was/am a daily user.
 
I noticed pretty bad headaches during deep binges. Usually it was a sign that I should ease up for a day or three. Smoking it off foil doesn't have shit to do with it.
 
Have any of you experienced the intense headaches with other opioids or is it just heroin? I've personally only experienced it with heroin.
 
Ive gotten headaches from heroin. Never had a migraine. The dope was cut up pretty good too so i dont know if it is a specific cut that causes it but it but i rarely get them because of it.
 
when i sober up after 3 hours or so i'm prone to get migraines as well. not necessarily from smoking tar, as i have before and had migraines from too, but all kinds of opiates and other drugs like alcohol, coke, amps. my theory is always been, for me at least, that i'm prone to headaches if i consciously get sober or if the drugs wear off while i'm consciously experiencing it. i also get weird neck headaches from stuff like oral morphine, it's a terrible totally unenjoyable feeling for me. those neck headaches turn into migraines too after 2 hours or so
 
Had the same problem,i don't know if you've seen my thread.Your heroin is possibly cut as FUQ with anything and a mild overdose.Happened exactly the same to me.
So i guess your h's purity and dosage is wrong
