Alcohol and salvia

Hey, I am very interested in trying saliva but I am quite fearful of doing so.

However, when I have a couple of drinks I become more relaxed and more confident about trying some.

Would there be any problem in combining both these substances?

Thanks in advanced!

I wouldn't recommend mixing alcohol and salvia. Salvia by itself can cause some pretty crazy reactions in people... I certainly wouldn't dream of mixing alcohol with it... Maybe someone who's done this can chime in. I've only ever mixed it with and MDMA come down and THAT relaxed a lot of the salvia anxiety - I would think alcohol would make it worse.

Instead of alcohol use a dissociative. It takes away most of the dysphoric body feelings and allows you to experience the weirdness from a distance. Dissociative/salvia combo is what you're looking for. I've tried it myself, as have many others who have concluded similarly.

ye its a safe combo but its pointless. its hard enough to remember and make sense of the experience in the first place when you come out of such a dissociated state. alcohol seems to make it even more confusing ime. i did it pretty buzzed one time and i just blacked out completly for 5 minutes and didn't recall a thing other times it was way to confusing to even make any sense at all compared to other numerous salvia trips ive had and at larger doses.

ye ive wanted to try a salvia ketamine or salvia dxm trip. i almost did one time on 800mg of dxm poli but pussied out.

ive done salvia with mushrooms and then with acid before and both were wicked intense

I've read that in traditional Mazatec ceremonies, a little beer or tequila are drunk to cleanse the palate when dosing via the quid method. For my part, I've smoked Salvia after having only a drink, maybe two at most, and the anxiolysis I get from alcohol did help remove my apprehension before blasting off. I really wouldn't have any more alcohol than you need to in order to relax a bit.

What's really interesting to me about this is that alcohol (at least at this dosage) hasn't ever diminished the effects of Salvia for me in the way that it can dull the mental effects of serotonergic psychedelics like LSD.

I'd really like to try combining Salvia with a dissociative like ketamine or N2O. It would be hard to get the timing right, I think, since with all of these substances my motor skills are gone pretty quickly.

^You mean your motor skills are so distorted that you can't bring a lighter to a bowl of salvia packed previously when sober? You don't have to dose that high on a dissociative to profit from the benefits they offer in combination with salvia. A second plateau DXM trip, for instance, is sufficient to provide the antianxiolytic properties and perspective distance I posted about earlier. Likewise, a 50 mg IM ketamine dose, I imagine, would be sufficient.

I've considered both of those, but my one time with DXM HBr powder left me with fever-like symptoms for most of the trip (although the afterglow the next day was out of this world). And though I'm aware that IM is reputably the "best" ROA for ketamine, I don't think I wanna go there.

I appreciate your suggestions though. Most likely I'll end up bumping some ketamine and then try smoking Salvia before the ketamine fully develops. We'll see how that goes. ;)

First time I did salvia was an bizzare experience it was a while ago so i cant describe it well (that and im drunk still) distorted perception though.

Tonight i was very drunk had just downed 6 shots of whiskey rapidly before biking off to go smoke some bud, then a decent hit of X40 salvia.

It was an amazingly intense experience, the music literally melted into me, but then it started to get annoying and i ran outside and lied in the grass, in the pouring rain nauseated. If you mix alcohol and salvia you've got a recipe for nasuea, but you also get yourself a bizzare, hilarious, intense trip. For me it was hard to remember but thats hugely becase of the alcohol

the first time i did salvia was in an incredibly drunken stupor. i dont remember much of the night, or of the salvia trip but years ago someone came back from our local beach town with some 80x salvia extract. we all took turns hitting it and everyone bugged out one by one. when i hit it, i felt like the seams of reality were started to be unzipped faster and faster until it was nothing but chaos. i distinctly remember an out of body experience--looking down at existence from above, seeing everything all discombobulated but somehow all of the matter in the universe had rearranged into a cosmic ice cream sandwich. it was fucking weird. if you get wasted and smoke salvia, get prepared for some weird shit.

this being said i think salvia is a waste of time. i think its worth trying, but nothing more. you should probably just try and get your hands on some DMT in my opinion

I smoked salvia fucking smashed. It was the weirdest, strongest, thing iv'e ever felt. Its very hard to explain or remember much of the trip but it was VERY intense. Salvia is great but its more dysphorid than euphoric imo.

I smoked some again smashed on my birthday again, I think we can safely assume that alcohol drastically increases the intensity of salvia.

Hmmm... Maybe that explains why salvia fucked me up so bad... I never even thought about the fact that I was pretty much a walking bottle of alcohol unless I was rolling whenever I was doing it. I always thought it was curious that I enjoyed salvia on the comedown of MDMA but it was much more intense when I launched from a "sober" starting line. I had alcohol in my system just about every time!

I wanna try salvia with MDMA sounds like it would be a rather interesting experience, though one of the unpleasantries I found with mixing alcohol and salvia is that they both make your body temp higher... Wonder what mixing MDMA and Salvia would do to your vitals?

I never noticed anything with the vitals. Actually my favorite way to come down from a speedy roll was to get in my closet, shut the door, and smoke salvia... I'd often fall asleep after the trip and wake up on the floor in my closet.

I had a roll party one time and everyone else was coming down because they didn't eat as many as I had (we had MDE pills and on MDE I'll eat them non-stop for 16 hours+ - on this specific occasion I had rolled the night before then Caffeine came up and I wasn't going to go but my buddy was moving back to Chicago the next day so I went and rolled again) and when I was ready to come down, I went into the closet and smoked some salvia. I remember vines of roses exploding out of the darkness, a brief encounter with lady salvia, and then hearing them talking outside my closet door the next morning looking for me. I had passed out in the closet and they were freaking out about my absence.

It's not physically dangerous, but if you take alcohol you'll be muddying up a lot of the wisdom Salvia has to offer. It's an incredibly wise teacher plant, if you approach it with respect and questions.
