I have more than enough supporters/internet friends/people who don't get their knickers in a knot. Then again if I was a lone voice of joy in a world of misery and despair is that really a bad thing? Marmalade is it tiring moderating everyone else's life like you have all the answers?

Yeah, great reason to impart your wisdom here just for something to do, because you can, when you know how it's viewed. I define myself by the choices I make.

I'm human, and sometimes have times of misery, but my own philosophy and actions and accountability ensures it's a rare occurence, It's certainly nothing I'd ever feel embarrassed about either. I love being human.

My kids know I don't expect them to be the best, simply give their best. If they are complaining that maths is too hard before they have even tried to complete a few equations then I have every right to clip them across the ear. If they studied hard for a week and still failed their exam I will simply tell them to stick to kung fu and drop and give me 50 push ups on their knuckles.

The only humans we have too many of are those fat bellied kids who can't shoo away the flies from their face. We can always do with more go getter kids who have a fine appreciation of rugby, reggae and Jackie Chan movies.

I just got back from my youngest kid's martial arts grading. He had to perform nun-chuck patterns then break a wooden board with his open palms. He then had to spar another kid his age. Not bad for 7. His sister is a couple of gradings off her black belt. We are spending the afternoon watching Rumble in the Bronx. Having cool kids is fucking awesome.

Yes I can see this. And frankly, to use these innocent, unfortunate children's problems as a way of extolling my own children was a very selfish, thoughtless thing to say.

I can see why there's 3 pages of abuse towards me... of course I deserve it. Just see that I can recognise my mistake, don't judge me for it and know that i'm hurting inside every time I think back to what I said.

We can only change the world one child at a time in our own homes, not by stopping black men from getting their jiggy on.

On both occasions now, with some investigation there is clearly some ethic and method in your posts... it's just it doesn't come across very well. And your terrible at explaining yourself after.
