How much kief per eighth of mediocre-decent green?

Good afternoon folks,

Just a quick question, how much kief do you think it is generally possible to get from some slightly-above-mediocre homegrown green (say, per eighth or quarter)?

(I'm grinding in a relatively decent 3-part metal grinder with shark-tooth prongs)

I don't think there is any way to answer that question man. Every single strain is different and it would solely rely on how many trichomes are on it.

I would recommend putting a dime in the herb chamber of the grinder and shaking it when you grind. That'll increase your yield

Does it really? Or is it psychosomatic because it all clumps to the bud and looks like there's more than when it's laying flat. If you give your grinder a few short taps on the edge of the table it'll knock a bit more kief through the mesh. Be careful if using a plastic grinder though.

I've found that using both a 3-section and 4-section grinder on my bud yields more, but it's overkill, I know that.

Different strains have different size trics, so sometimes they will not fit through your mesh. If you want yield, sift your buds through some silk stockings.
