^ yes, true enough....

But sativa has less of it... but it does have some.
I've had this conversation IRL and realize i'm at odds with...well... pretty much everyone. All i can say is what weed does to me

hence the YMMV

I think weed is very much a YMMV thing. I notice massive differences betwen sativas and indicas, personally. YMMV. ;)

one is sedating and the other is stimulating yeah ? I cant remember which is which. Weed dealers in the UK dont generally state what strain theyve got, that seems to be far more common in America from what i have gathered.

I also wonder if weed and noids work in a simillar way to tobacco; if you take several short sharp quick tokes really really quickly then the nicotine stimulates you, however if you take slow deep breaths of it, it's calming. Weird huh.

Historically and YMMV-ily the sativas are lighter, creative, stimulating and thinky ones (many hazes etc.) and indicas are the heavier, sedating, euphoric ones (kush, etc.) Having said that, it all seems to be hybridised these days and I doubt most dealers actually know what they're selling, so it's sometimes a moot point.

I really notice the difference as well. Sativas get me sketched out, indicas get me chilled. Indica all the way. Got some purple kush to smoke today %)

I'd say that's purely the breathing that's causing that. The nicotine isn't doing something different because of the way you're inhaling it. Taking long deep breaths will relax you, short sharp ones will do the opposite, regardless of nicotine.

I think many find sativa-dominant strains more functional, though. With indicas, you get couch look and can't move. With sativas, it's a head high, not a body high.

No, allthough it is true what you say about the breathing methods alone, i read/heard somewher that it does affect the effects of nicotine aswell.

Very true. I used to smoke tons of weed before, and during, a night out back when I mainly smoked sativa dominant (or completely unknown, but based on effect I'd guess at sativa heavy) strains.. Now I smoke it when I'm not planning on moving. Or at least that's the intention, in reality I smoke it all the time and have to drag myself off the couch to do stuff.

It's the body high that I want these days anyway. I like to be plastered to the couch, heavy eyes, unable to move other than to reach for the Doritos.

Americans reading this page would be pissing themselves. We truly are in the dark ages when it comes to cannabis culture

In what way ?
I like how the americans have progressed legally, but the actual culture ( or at least what I see of it on forums ) is pretty fucking annoying.

i think he meant the way they get the choice between different strains of weed. Its been legalised in at least 1 state too hasnt it ? I wonder how that works, they dont have border controls on state lines do they, apart from Mexico. If you live near the border just pop over the state line to buy whatever weed you want perfectly legally. It seems pretty messy to me.

by culture I don't mean attitude or mentality even but how society has embraced it, the infrastructure is impressive to say the least!
