Need some reassurance!

Can some one reassure me that taking amphetamines one in a while ( 1 a month, maybe twice) is not going to have a considerable effect on my break from MD. And before someone says to stop completely, that is not an option! iv come to the conclusion that I love raving. There fore I feel that it is better to have lots of them rather than a few a year- Fuck That! And to simply not have one for a full year just aint gunna happen! But I long for the Euphoria to come back with MD so speeds the next best thing. ?????

If you've lost the euphoria from MD then it's a sign that you need to slow up your usage. Taking amphetamines probably wouldn't effect your break from MDMA, insofar as re-finding the euphoria. But, it is a stimulant and you would build tolerance to the stimulant effects. Considering that all the mechanics of MDMA make it so special, this might influence your break. However, I'm not overly convinced as serotonin is the special part of MD and amphetamines will barely effect serotonin.

Also, speed is probably not the best thing. Sure you'll experience euphoria and hyperactivity, but you won't refind the magic of MDMA (love, empathy and connection). You should look into different serotonergic drugs if you really want a similar experience to MDMA or just move on. I'd suggest the latter, if MDMA isn't working anymore then it's probably a sign that you should not take it, or any other serotonin-releasers, for a while.

I have to somewhat disagree with this post. I'm assuming that by Speed you mean meth, if that's the case then I must say the few times i've used it I felt like i'd taken a low dose of MD(only happened when i doses orally though). If you feel you must rave often then having a once-a-month meth habit is really not the worst thing in the world or even that bad for that matter(as long a doses are kept reasonable and you aren't staying up for days, or starting to do it more frequently than that). It will affect your MD break though - amphetamines also have secondary effects on serotonin similarly to how MD has secondary effects on dopamine.

TL;DR - Speed will affect your MD break but doing it once a month is heaps better than rolling every month after you build a tolerance.

No, speed refers to usual amphetamine here in the UK (the OP is from Wales). Sure methamp might feel similar to MDMA insofar as it is euphoric, but the actual action on serotonin is minimal. I did not know that methamphetamine had secondary effects on serotonin, but i'd imagine that the mechanism will not be anything like MDMA. Just like MDMA's mechanism for dopamine release varies from amphetamines (perhaps modulated by 5-HT2 activation). I.E. Dopamine release is a downstream effect of serotonin release.

IMO meth feels nothing like MDMA, and yes I've had quality meth before. It is a euphoric drug, but nothing compared to MDMA. It's definitely speedy, and does feel good, but you can never get to the total empathy, euphoria, rushes, etc...,

It also will drain you more, and IME comedowns are harsher on meth, I guess why I don't take it anymore.....

Not on about meth guys! hahaha.....Base/amphet paste. Never even heard of it being sold/used in the uk.
wierd thing is, even tho I think ive truly lost that good old magic, I still love taking it! sure it isnt what it used to be. But taking good pills in a dingy little club is still fucking awesome!
