This lady put up an add to sell or exchange her canada goose jacket for a different size or for money on kijiji. I wanted a different size so i agreed to switch with her. When we met we discussed that if one of us had an issue and wanted to exchange our jackets back we could. I emailed her an hour after the transaction to say I wanted my jacket back but she did not reply. When I told her I would contact the police she did reply but only by saying that I am the only one that said if their was an issue she could call me and change back but not vice versa. This obviously makes no sense . She said If I emailed her again she would label it as harassment.
This situation in no way is not buyers remorse because we stated we could exchange back and I messaged her an hoiur later. What can I do ?

Hey there. I just noticed that you actually didn't cross-post. The two of your threads ended up here from testing grounds and anonymous. You're allowed to test your thread out in testing grounds.

Apologies.

I think your chances of getting the jacket back are pretty slim. Did you only have a verbal agreement about being able to switch back for any reason? If so, you unfortunately have no solid evidence, and it'll be your word against hers. Even if you do have it in writing, I'm not sure that it will be legally binding. Regardless of what the agreement was, I don't think your case is going to stand up in court - you agreed to the transaction, and having an agreement you can swap back for any reason is a bit unusual - I don't think a judge is going to believe that was the case or even think it was a reasonable expectation. What was the reason you wanted to get your jacket back? If there was something wrong with the one you received, or it was different from advertised, then you probably have more of a case than just changing your mind.

Like Roger&Me said, have a look into the small claims court. Make sure you save all your communications with the buyer. Also, I'm not at all familiar with kijiji, but they may have advice or procedures on how to deal with problems like these.
