I have gotten my hands on some methylphenidate pills. They are gray in color and marked M 27, with a square around the M. I know these are 27mg extended release methylphenidate. Does anyone know how to make these instant release for other ROA? I cut one in half (tried breaking it, but needed scissors) and removed the Gray/Waxy outer coating. The entire center is a coral color and was not difficult to crush into a powder. I insufflated half of a pill this morning, which seemed to work, but I'm not sure I completely bypassed the extended release portion.

I am thinking about crushing one into a powder, adding water, filtering and banging. I'm not sure if cold or warm water is better to extract the methylphenidate. I know applying heat will dissolve some binders and fillers, so I wont be cooking this at all. I've done this with IR ritalin pills, but am worried about this particular type of pill since it is an extended release version.

Also, is there any methylphenidate in the outer/gray portion of these pills. I know that concerta has 22% of the methylphenidate in the outer portion in an instant release form, but are these pills the same. The inside of the pill is certainly nothing like a concerta. Any thoughts, suggestions, answers would greatly help.

And yes I know I'm a dumbass for considering doing this. IVing pills is never a good idea and methylphenidate is probably on the harsher side of chemicals to inject especially in extended release formulas. I don't do uppers often and have no experience with this particular pill aside from sniffing this morning.

Well, I'm still alive... The final mixture was a little thick, but in layers. I only did the top(clearest) layer. Felt like it worked. I was pretty tired and after this i was wide awake for a few hours.

^agreed BlueHues. I thought about that and decided to use a vein in my foot, which I have never done before. I know that doesn't eliminate these concerns, but things seemed to of worked out fine as far as the injection sight and vein are concerned. I didn't miss, sight does not appear irritated, slight bruising and no noticeable damage to the foot or leg. I have since developed a pain in my spleen area that started about 12 hours after injection and is still sore. Its a constant dull pain, not a shooting pain and feels swollen. Does anyone know what might have happened?

That doesn't sound great :/ I take it you've never had this pain before? (Just checking because I wouldn't be able to pinpoint a pain in my abdomen to my spleen)

Shooting up in your feet is a lot more risky than shooting up in your arms. There's a great Wiki about it on Bluelight, here: http://wiki.bluelight.ru/index.php/Drug_Injection#Safer_Injection_Sites

Thanks for the link Akerman. very helpful & informative. I was doing a lot of no no's. Using cig filters, using a shoestring to tie off, bad locations for injection sites along with bad after care.

And as far as the spleen area pain, It went away, but did return for a short time shortly after a second shot a couple days later. It wasn't as noticeable this time, but was still uncomfortable. I wasn't necessarily saying my spleen was injured, just that the pain was coming from the middle portion of the left side of my abdomen somewhat toward the back. I have injured my kidneys before and I know what a stomach ache feels like so I just chose to say spleen area, but any number of things could be causing the pain/pressure. Just wondering if anyone had experienced this before, and or know of what could be the cause.

I'm not doing this again. would have been awesome if it worked since i have a decent amount of these, but not worth the risks at all. I'm saving the rest of my rigs for some blues.

Glad to hear that the pain has gone away now. I don't have the knowledge or experience to even guess at what it might have been, hopefully someone else here will chime in.

Shooting pills is always risky, but it sounds like these were immediately and obviously nasty. Good move deciding not to shoot 'em any more :)

Do not inject these pills without proper preperation. This includes researching fillers and binders as well as properly removing them.

Show respect to your veins. They are much more valueble than getting high.

I cannot allow this.
