I read in THAT thread, where someone said I'd die next, but also where people were talking about me in a caring way, and someone said 'What good did prison do her...?' Well, actually it did me a lot of good, I've commited minimum crime since getting out, and, it gave me 3 meals a day for the first time in 3 years, a routine and helped me go from a skinny scrawny unhealthy 8 stone (But access to the gym, to keep my eating issues at bay) with cheekbones that could cut paper, to a healthy looking this, which was taken about two weeks after I got out....If you saw me before I went in, ( I was ill) you'd see what a positive effect on my health prison had on me.

I was/am. Then,I was just out of jail, homeless and living in a hostel (Still am), trying to keep off a smack habit, it worked for so long until I relapsed. A year later I'm still in the relapse. I could go on, but, yeah, you got it just from the eyes. I wish I could turn back time, and go back to the day that photo was taken. I was happy, just not deeply happy.

The eyes are windows to the soul I've always thought.

What you've gone through can either have a dent on your psyche, or make you more powerful. The latter seems more likely for you.
 
I've seen far worse looking women that are on the Burroughs diet in my time.
Personally I don't think she looks like she uses gear but that's just my opinion (for all it's worth)

It's probably worth nothing because it's irrelevant. You've obviously never seen a self-sufficient heroin addict. Once you see a doctor or a lawyer spiking up you'll surely recalculate what your evaluation of what a heroin addict should look like.

^ That's because I've not been using it for years, and you can't tell everything from a photo. Are you saying i'm lying? Do I have to show you my track marks, hahahah. I was once asked that by a dealer, who thought I was undercover. Some friends came along and vouched for me. He was far too paranoid,. I know him well now.
 
Its the media that paint the picture into peoples heads of how drug addicts are supposed to look, "stereotypical haggered drug addict"

My boyfriend has just come home, and shouted at me right up in my face because I've spent 2 quid, so he now is 2 quid short to score. I don't think it's made me more powerful. I'm sat in fucking tears. I need to close BL as he gets annoyed that I use this too.

BL is the only place I feel free, so don't start having a go at me, i've had enough of that here this week.

Mybe I lashed out too quick, as I wrote it after i'd just had my head spun out by my BF getting his knickers in a twist because I spent two quid. Then said, 'what else have you done all day eh, eh eh' I do his washing for his work clothes everyday, clean his mess up, make sure he eats, keep the room clean, he bosses me about using the excuse 'Ive been to work all day, you've done fuck all' . When i was working, all he was arsed about was spending my money to score. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Perhaps you should leave him then? (Former?) addicts need to be in an environment sterile of any verbal abuse or hostility.
