lol, that message is so frustrating, pressing post or f5 about 50 times, then i give up for a few minutes, and things seem ok again. Its those Americans that are to blame, when they're all sleeping we dont get these problems.

As weather reports seem to be de rigeur today then Cambs is very grey & dull but no longer pissing it down.
I have no need to leave the flat today so the weather can do as it likes.

Methylone to do or what please.

:?

ive got to clear out a big pile of soot and rubble that came tumbling out when i uncovered my upstairs fireplace. Not looking forward to that theres probably loads of pigeon shit in there too as there was one stuck in there for about 3 days (i didint know it was a pigeon, i thought it was mice). Better mask up for shovelling that shit out. If things get really bad this winter im gonna be using that fireplace.

lol, good idea. What happens if you use a chimney that may not have been cleaned for decades ? Thats not the beginning of a joke, im just wondering. I know its not blocked as a pigeon fell down it, and probably cleaned it bit flapping around on its way down lol.

The mood seems better in here today, i briefly had a scan yesterday and things werent seeming very hospitable or cheery, it gave me a chanve to finish my college assignments.

Not sure about chimneys that haven't been used for a while but I did see some TV show where an elderly couple went to use their fireplace for the first time in a while and a fire started in the chimney itself as it was blocked with leaves and a bird nest if I remember correctly.
May be best to have a quick search on google for any info.
I still think it could be worth giving Barnados a call and just make sure you pay national minimum wage to the kid and you shouldn't get any complaints.

Minimum wage for kids is probably £4 or something. If i was to get a kid to do it id give them £20 or something anyway, which would probably take some time to make back the money saved by not burning gas. Im not keen on that idea at al tbh, gossip will spread all round the neighborhood.

Ive been doing that "Dad thing" of saving bits of leftover wood from DIY projects "that might come in usefull one day". None of it ever has lol, and ive got a shed full of bit of wood like that. If it actually works and i dont get any complaints ill be foraging for fallen big branches and going through skips and stuff. Ill start off with a very small experimental fire. Any birds nest or w/e in the chimney should soon run out of fuel and burn themselves out i would have thought. Its just an idea at this stage.
