I have OCD and I am on fluoxetine 60mg, Quetiapine 100mg and 15mg diazepam daily. I get a bit depressed as I can't leave the house and my meds I take at night leave me groggy next day. My question is can methylphenidate be prescribed off label for things other than ADHD?
 
no. If you are on Quetiapine you are very very unlikely to be prescribed methylphenidate by anyone.

Ceres thats not exactly true, im prescribed 64mg of methylphenidate, 350mg quitiapine, 4500mg gabapentin, 16x 30mg codeine tabs a day ime gps have not had an issue with mixing them. Only doctor to ever question was one at an atos health assesment which i thought was curios

Thanks for the replies guys. I really only want it as an aphrodisiac. I can' t get access to ethylphenidate at the moment which really gets me horny. Would a small dose of dxm be any good?
 
Lol it is that ceres plus a hefty 8th a day heroin habit just to top it off hahaha!

I take it the other meds are ruining your libido?

Still, seems a bit extreme to go looking for a methylphenidate prescription to counter that. Can't imagine it's the best solution to the problem either. Have you discussed your problems with a doctor?
 
I don't think that taking drugs to compensate the side effects of other drugs is the best decision. Can't you discuss with your doctor your use of anti-depressants, perhaps he can help you taper and come off them.
 
^ or just change regime... there's plenty of antidepressant on the market right now, talk to your doctor and tell him how do you feel. If he's not listening, change doctor.
 
its not my libido from the meds surprisingly. I can orgasm easily and still get horny. I wanted something just to make me super horny. I took 300mg of dxm and I just feel a little intoxicated
 
How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? If the meds aren't having an adverse effect yet you feel you need substances to get 'super horny' then maybe it's worth looking at the possibility of there being an underlying problem? I know that in the past depression has ruined my sex drive to the extent it's affected relationships.

Or maybe you should just buy some shonky viagra? I don't know.
 
^ here here. I'm prescribed 400mg a day and if I take it, I'm floored. You might have more luck being prescribed modafinil? (Provigil)
 
My ex used to be on them & I had never heard of them till I got with her, my first time I did 50mg & was smacked between the eyes.
My last trip to see her she gave me loads, sadly I am running out but I find they just make you a total mess but I like the buzz tbh, not everyone's cup of tea I admit but it feels to me like my brain in coated in cement, hard to walk, talk & even think :)

Makes Diazepam look like kids sweets & that's why I <3 them sssssooooo much.
 
Oh interesting, I had never heard of people enjoying quetiapine before, Bodda. I have a large supply and have tried selling them off , even giving them away but no one was interested!

I really dislike them but will take one to put an end to sleep deprivation as I find benzos don't make me sleep, just induce the blackout-crazies-of regret.

The only thing leaving you groggy and causing your other issue is the quetiapine. I hope you're not taking it as a mood-stabilizer, or any of the other factitious indications astrazeneca have managed to get approval for. It's a dirty drug that causes serious long term health risks and my advice to you is unless you have psychotic or schizoaffective symptoms to ask your doctor be taken off it. There are many other alternatives.
 
tempted to snort 5mg methylphenidate. I dunno whether to do that or go for the chill route instead and have some etiz. I could so with an energy boost, ive got shit loads of stuff to do. Fuck it, 5mg is gonna get hoofed.

It allways seems ironic that the brand name on the blister is Tranquilin, im sure thats what it does for people with ADHD, i wasnt sure myself if i have some sort of ADD but as it doesnt make me tranquil in any way i assume i havent.
