Opioids Codeine (CWE, ~250mg) and Ibuprofen... safe combo?

Sorry for the boring question but I couldn't find a specific answer about Ibuprofen and high-dose codeine (only low-dose codeine mixed-preparations that you can buy).

I've just taken 400mg Ibuprofen under the advice of a doctor over the telephone (NHS Direct is awesome) due to suspected RSI in my right hand, and they think it might help with reducing the swelling on whatever nerve in my wrist is causing it.

Anyway, would it be safe to take a relatively high (250mg-ish if I'm lucky) dose of codeine with this? Any interactions? I guess not if they sell low-dose codeine and Ibuprofen preparations, but I was wondering about my medium-to-high dose of codeine.

I have also taken a small amount of Etizolam, and I know it's not "safe" or "cool" to combine codeine with benzos or their analogues, but I've done it before and it's been great. I know it's slightly risky buy my tolerance is quite high and I don't think that will be a factor here.

Anyway, my question is about the Ibuprofen and codeine. Y/N?

Well I took the ~250mg CWE of codeine about 30 mins after the 400mg of Ibuprofen, on top of 6mg Etizolam that I took this morning (about 4-5 hours ago).

I'll update this thread later tonight after the codeine has worn off with how it turned out in case anybody is searching for this information in the future (assuming that I don't die, that is). Pretty sure it will be fine though.

Did the codeine you extract came from a Tylenol preparation? Mixing tylenol with ibuprofen can make you nauseous as fuck.

It did, but the CWE was pretty clean. The codeine has mostly worn off now. It felt very nice, the Etizolam made it loads better (I know, I know, it's not a safe combo and I'm a bad person! I even took 2mg more just after swigging the nasty, bitter CWE).

Basically I'm totally fine. I am sipping a cold craft beer and feeling very mellow right now.

From my personal experience I can say that Ibuprofen and a medium-to-high dose of codeine doesn't have any bad interactions. Just my personal experience though, take it as you will.

Thanks for the heads-up re. Paracetamol and Ibuprofen though, I didn't know that.

I've had many friends who mixed 1.5g of Tylenol and 1.5g of ibuprofen for a migraine, thinking the effect would stack and it didn't, made them sicker.
