Opioids Par Pharmaceuticals and Fentanyl in general

So SWIM obtained some 5mg fentanyl patches manufactured by Par Pharmaceuticals. Not noticing anything from wearing the patches after extensive research online SWIM has tried putting the gel in her cheeks, and smoking the gel off of foil with no noticeable effects. Is there something about these patches that makes them unable to abuse? She would really like to try smoking a bit of fentanyl but after all of the tries she is sick of wasting a "potent" opiod. If anyone could give some insight here it would be greatly appreciated.

Do you--BL prefers that posters not use SWIM--have 50mcg gel patches? 5mg are not made, as fentanyl is 100 times as potent as morphine.

Fentanyl is known for being pretty bland and not euphoric, you might be looking for something that's simply not there.

FYI 50 mcg per hour = 5mg total fentanyl content per patch

My experience has also been that fentanyl does not give any kind of "rush" or euphoria which for me is good as a recovering addict with major spine problems. The nice steady even pain relief is just right for me.
