The local emotions attached to the building would make it impossible to live / have as an investment TBH - in reality you would be more worried about a brick coming through your window/having the house smashed up than worrying about what happened in it previously.

If you could remove all the stigma attached to the house and who lived there next - I would have no problem with it.

I find this quite shocking. If a 'pillar of the establishment' is calling for such actions no wonder there were so many houses burnt down. It must have almost become an acceptable topic of discussion for welsh middle class dinner parties.

If this is the case I'm thinking of, it happened not far from me (just outside Nantwich, Cheshire). The guy was growing serious amounts of weed on his farm and crossed the criminals he was growing it for - that was their revenge!

Otherwise get one of the 'untouchable local hard bastards' to move in. I think 1 of them lives in the same village, or did, when i was in that general area. He used to go off to the big cities to do bare chested 'fight club' type things involving knives. No local in their right mind would dare to put a brick through his window.

At one point i was at loggerheads with him, i didnt know the fella really, i walked past him in a pub, i dint say anything to him cos i felt i didnt know him, he took huge offence to that, fuckin grabbed me, "dont you ever walk past me without saying good evening again !" 8o The barman warned me "be carefull Mush, you do not want to mess with him" I wasnt messing with him, it was a misunderstanding.

Next time i met him i was extremely polite to him, and it obviously worked, from then on he would yell a cheery hello to me from across the street or wherever he saw me. =D Was fuckin great to be on the right side of him. I was then from then onwards almost entirely free from any hassles in that town.
