I AM going to relapse.. but I want to do it safely HELP!!!

So I have been clean for 8 months off of opiates..... and anything else for that matter. not even weed.. I have been having this sort of paranoia about doing opiates again as I'm scared I will OD. I am looking for what would be a safe dose insufflated for my first time doing OxyContin again

I'd start low, like 10-15mg (usually gets me decently high when my tolerance is down), then just go from there. You can always snort more but can't really take it back once it's up your nose.
 
that's unlikely to result in OD? I know tolerance builds quickly with opiates, from experience.... its just the first few initial doses that are scary for me
 
What was your dose when you were using? Just so you know, the bioavailability is higher for oral consumption that it is for intranasal consumption of oxycodone, so you will get more from eating it. I guess that doesn't matter as much after taking a break, but if you are using regularly it's best to just eat the pills.

As for the dose, 15-20mg is safe and will give you a good idea of how much you will need to get you high if that wasn't enough. A lot of times you will be able to get high off of a lot less after a long break, but your tolerance will increase very fast if you continue to use regularly. Most people are back at their usual dose after like 4 uses if they are all done within a week, so if you wish to keep your tolerance down you will have to limit your use to 2x a week max.

Like Tommyboy said, it really depends on how much you were using before. Tolerance shoots down a lot though. Even half of what you would usually do could be too much after a long break like that.

You obviously have done oxy in the past... what dose did you start on then..? Just do the same thing, unless you were reckless in the beginning.. in which case, don't do the same thing.. hah. 15-20mg's is a good start to gauge where your tolerance is at.
 
I was smoking then.. anywhere for 40mg-240mg a day.. I was snorting dilaudid a lot as well.. im also very small.. 90lbs? my only issue with taking OxyContin orally is the time release formula, which around here is only available in 40mg and more often 80mg...... I don't want to take 40mg oraly my first time.. and if I split the pill in half it becomes immediate release, and idk if that's a dangerous dose

So you have never used the new OxyNeo formula? You can't really break them up to snort. It comes out like silly string if you can break them down, usually need a foot callus remover to do so. You would definitely be fine to take 20mg if it's the new oxy formula since it release a little over 8 hours I believe.

And I guess this is better for Basic Drug Discussion since it's a personal dosing question, so I will move it.

15mg would be safe , although not necessarily pleasant, for someone who's never even taken them before. It seems like it would be a good place to start.
 
I still have access to the old oxy formula... for a high price I might add.. but I would be using the first OxyContin formula.. none of that neo business

I do have previous experience with oxy as I had a 2 year addiction... but I like to think of myself now as starting all over since it has been too long to have any sort of opiate tolerance... but yes safe dose is what I am looking for..

so it is extremely unlikely that a 15mg insufflated dose of OxyContin will cause lethal overdose?
 
id start at 20 to keep it safe but if you were taking 240mgs+ of oxy along with dillies thern 40 mgs should have you feeling right but start at 20mgs. just split it in half with a pill cutter.

im talking about the old OxyContin coated pills... the 40mg yellows and 80mg greens are what I have access to... if I am correct the coating it what makes them timed release.. so snort you need to remove the coating, so youre snorting immediate release oxycodone.

if I were to take a whole 40mg pill orally with coating on it, it would be time released.. but 40mg is a high dose to start at.. so I would want to take 20mg...... to get 20mg I would need to split the 40mg pill which would disrupt the time release coating and make it a 20mg immediate release pill... is that too much to take?

my most recent attempt at a relapse I popped 2 Percocet orally (each pill containing 5mg oxycodone and 325 acetaminophen).... just a side question.. is the oxycodone in a Percocet immediate release or timed?

Doctors wouldn't be giving non-tolerant people 10mgs as their first dose in some cases of pain if 15mg was able to kill them.

And percocets are IR.
 
im basically torn between just snorting about 20mg to start or popping 20mg orally immediate release.... you guys say its safe to take 20mg.. do you mean 20mg insufflated? or orally? and if orally do you mean immediate release or timed release?
