Where are the firearms at?

Droppersneck when will you all rise up and start fighting then? What will it take? Obama is laughing at your constitution right this minute.

You keep saying that you (not you singular, but you as a nation) will defend your constitution from your tyrannical government, but where is the evidence of this? When does it start? Or is it all just talk and playing with your guns?

Btw, you are not the viet cong.

^It never starts hopefully. You guys are missing the point that the amendment is in place as a checks and balances type measure. And then there is this lol

FYI Mendo that meme is fucking awesome lol.

I really don't understand then. Is it a case of let the government do whatever the hell they like, fuck the constitution... until they come for the guns?

A checks and balances type measure? What do you even mean?

Your government have been making a mockery of your constitution for some time now, yet no-one has done anything about it. What needs to happen before you all band together and ride into Washington guns blazing?

The fact of the matter is citizens from the UK are so defeated as a people that they lack the foresight/ ability to even analyze the American way of thinking. That one idiot thought I was talking about wanting to fight the government right now by myself for no reason until somebody clued him in. Also never forget we beat you guys b/c at our very core we had a different mindset: while you guys were prancing over here in bright red uniforms we were digging our heels in the mud sniping people off decked out in Camo.

-I would say the first through 10th amendment and the separation of church and state is what defines us as a nation in a nutshell.

OK I want to understand the American way of thinking. See how you're saying you beat us, and that we were prancing in red uniforms etc., do you realise that was 230 years ago and that none of us were alive then? Nor were you. That's about nine generations ago. I don't have the energy to type out great great great etc. Things have moved on a little bit. So question 1: why do you characterise both these nations on the basis of events that fill history books? Proper history too, not "modern history".

And question 2, what you mean by "defines us a nation"? What does that mean? Is it how your public act, or are perceived? Or is it perhaps how your government acts, or is perceived?

Don't get sarcastic with me, son. We burned this tight-arsed city to the ground in 1814. And I'm all for doing it again, starting with you, you frat fuck.

In all seriousness though, I do want to know what it would actually take for you all to take up arms against your government. How much do they have to shit on your constitution before you do something about it?

Yeah I sense so much patriotism in your posts about your country and your government, but your all arming yourself to the teeth just in case?? Would it take something like switching to the metric system to completely send your country into a cluster fuck of chaos and angering so many who dont understand it to take up there guns and march on down to the whitehouse?

The only reason I could actually see the US citizens taking up arms against there government if they were to say that they were banning all citizen firearms, no? (Stacey Dooleys favourite rhetorical question, no?),no?

It takes the strongest type of person to take action before being totally backed into a corner. Sadly, fear and hopelessness are citizens' worst enemy right now.

It is just a classic example of the difference in mind sets with the two countries and we really have not changed all that much in 200 years. I cant define us as a nation as it is not my job we are what we are and it is all due to our founding fathers and the constitution which laid the ground work for the greatest nation this planet has known to date.

What would push this nation to the breaking point? I have no fucking clue, but we have plenty of fortitude, firepower, and ignorance to address the situation should it come.

I admire your persistence, but lifes a little short to be living on "just in case" of a "i have no fucking clue".

Too short for what? Shooting guns and hunting is fun as fuck I wont deny that. My father in law just got a slide fire stock AR which is awesome. It is essentially fully auto but since the mechanics have to do with stock and momentum and not the receiver it is fully legal(for now)

droppersneck, i dont understand what bigger weapons you are on about. going to go sling a SAM over your shoulder are you? nowhere is going to have tanks and artillery but army bases, precisely the type of location youd be wanting to avoid. even if somehow you managed to overcome a fortified base, and took every single tank and big gun you could get your thieving little hands on, how many bases do you think you'd have to raid to combat the entire army? they'd have the fast movers on you before you could figure out how to get the things started

as for your tired vietnam reference, it simply displays a poor understanding of history. the viet cong were well trained and extremely well disciplined armed force. they were well supplied and backed by major proxy powers. the only thing they didn't have was air power - but this was largely negated by the jungle terrain, which without doubt became a force multiplier, even in a psychological sense - very similar to the british soldiers' view of the japanese during jungle warfare in ww2, that they were naturally suited to it and effectively unbeatable (which wasn't the case, the japanese didn't come from that environment anymore than they did). they did however possess artillery, an almost limitless supply of men and a brilliant general who understood and manipulated u.s public opinion to eventually force a pull out. however, it was a very close run thing, and if even one of these factors or force multipliers had not been in place, the war would most likely have turned out a different way. without the ubiquitous, dense cover of the jungle for example, american air force would have smashed vc resistance within months - exactly how it would pan out for you and your motley crew in the wide open expanses of suburban america

It's not your job as a US citizen to take part in defining yourselves as a nation. You're actually bang on, but sort of revealing too. You seem OK with other people defining you.

oh my apologies, i thought you were talking vietnam

though im afraid hypothetical specifics are more valid than bizarre fantasies involving hazy ideas like combating tanks with folks like in the video above -who dont appear able to shoot in a straight direction

Nope I dont know where you got Nam they lived in the trees not mud huts..............JK. That is b/c the slide fire stock uses momentum to create an extremely fast trigger pulling motion it causes a jerking motion that is difficult to control. It was designed for small caliber weapons and he is using a much larger weapon.

Yeah I got's my suspicion's that's the sole reason for gun advocates; blood sports. Your chance to cause suffering to the innocent.

The "free the nation from tyrannical governments" argument is laughable, when you consider the modern-day warfare instruments the government has availbale. (aforementioned tanks, aircraft)
