I searched for spiders to eat in Thailand and could not find any (on my to do list) - I did the Crickets, grubs, worms and bugs etc but could not find the spiders / scorpions. TBH the Crickets were really tasty, if you didn't look at them it was like eating a random flavored chip. They serve them in a bag - give them a spray with (What I think) is a mixture of soy, vinegar) then top with white pepper.

Abnormally large spiders??

I searched for spiders to eat in Thailand and could not find any (on my to do list) - I did the Crickets, grubs, worms and bugs etc but could not find the spiders / scorpions. Rather random - I hate Quavers. People give them to babies / young children (not sure the age range) and hope they don't choke on them - or is that the other thing (looks like a jelly fish ?).

If you have papers and stuff scattered over the floor you can hear spiders scuttling over them in the middle of the night. They sound very loud and big when they do that.

quavers are indeed those corn or whatever snacks that are 'floaty light' and are actually rather yum.
I recon they're probably given the okay for kids because they actually melt on the tongue and turn to mush so they're less of a choking hazard than other similar foods lazy people want to shut their kids up with. I think PomBar snacks are popular for the same reason.
I remember reading about a dog attack on a little girl last year where she apparently fed the akita a quaver and it went nuts and tried to eat her face due to it's reaction to the sensation of the cracklely melty thing quavers have on the tongue. or summat. I love how people think it's safe to leave children alone around highly instinctive and insanely powerful animals.
The jelly fish ones you mean will probably be 'skips' or similar prawn cocktail snacky things they do. theyre also yum

feeding dogs toffee is about the funniest thing ive ever seen, they love it, but they find it very difficult and confusing to chew on. Also the first time a dog sees the ground covered in a deep layer of snow is something to behold. Fuckin hilarious, it doesnt know whether to eat it, dig it, attack it, or what the hell it is at first.
Fk it I cannot find my spider pictures - Scariest spider I saw was a Camel Spider (as mentioned previously), I have searched trying to find a real (to scale) image of them and this is as close as I can get to real size/scale. The one we spotted was a bit bigger than this !
Shoulda been photographed next to a pack of Camels.

THIS was actually found this morning in a house in Manchester, , Fire Brigade were shit scared apparently and handed it over to a spider specialist. Family fled screaming from their home, , think Id do same its like something from a horror movie!!!

Fire brigade is fucking right, they'd need to be there after I found that and burnt my house to the ground.
Parents garden is full of spiders, hate walking down the passageway behind the house into the garden cos they all hang out in the trees.

Eh what the hell :D - I thought my baby choking story was random. I cant eat quavers / Skips thats them (jelly fish looking things) as I get a mental image of babies choking and the parents thinking 'Why' we should have waited etc.
I have the urge to find an Akita now and give Quavers or Moon rocks :D
Akitas are particularly highly strung though aren't they? I remember reading that they're not recommended for inexperienced dog owners, they can be quite temperamental. Sounds like an accident waiting to happen =/ (Fuck, temperamental is really difficult to spell. I'm slightly ashamed to admit I had to google it.)

There is no reason to doubt the authenticity of the photograph and it is probably depicts a real spider. The spider is possibly a Giant Huntsman Spider (Heteropoda Maxima) which are a species native to Laos. These spiders are thought to be the largest in the world by leg span and can reach more than 30 centimeters across. Huntsman of other types are also quite common here in Australia and I have encounters several very large specimens myself in older houses I have lived in. Also, the size of objects in photographs can be quite deceptive and the spider may not be quite as large as it appears to be in the image. Huntsman spiders are not very aggressive and are not generally considered to pose a significant danger to humans although a bite may be painful .
Although probably real, it seems very unlikely that this spider was actually discovered in Manchester as claimed in the message. As noted, Heteropoda Maxima live in Laos and other kinds of Huntsman would not normally be found in the UK. There is also nothing to substantiate the claim that a fire brigade was called to remove the spider. Also, the same spider picture has circulated in other contexts since at last 2011 without any references to Manchester. It is likely that someone has simply invented the Manchester story to enhance the fear factor of the image.
Its possible that the hunstmans mother laid her eggs in someones luggae when they were in audtralia or laos and inadvertentently brought it home with them. Fucks sake imagine if those things managed to successfully collonise the UK.

Iv also seen the same pic with what looked like loads of little spiders around it. I doubt the credibility of the picture as all the strories have been fabricated surrounding it.
Eggs could have been brought back etc, but there's no way you could be living with that spider and not notice it or massive cobwebs around the house untill one day it's up there!

I am fine with this. I have images of training my own ladybird army, and being a bit like The Pain from MGS 3, but with ladybirds instead.
