Are the effects of 4-ACO-DMT as close to Psilocybin 'shrooms as many websites claim?

I recently came into contact with a RC dealer and he has several different chems for sale, with one that I am interested in being 4-ACO-DMT (O-Acetylpsilocin, Psilacetin). I have read how several different websites and some conflict with each other. One site says it is a pro-drug to Psilocin (metabolized into Psilocin) and others claim that it has effects which are unique to itself. Does anyone have any experience with this RC and can provide me with some insight? Thanks! :?
 
well i like you came across a vendor with this chem..and my order of 250mg along with 1 gram of mephedrone just arived half an hour ago..a=i have yet to try the 4-aco as my scale has not arrived yet (it should be here in a few hours..once it gets here i will weigh out a dose..or i may wait until tomorrow i am not sure...but i do know that the mephedron was quite plesant , i am still feeling an eyeballed dose of what i believe 50mg IVèd whoa pleasant!!

Similar but different. Has kind of an mdma-like positive and social "push," but it also has some similarities to DMT, even ayahuasca (I dry-purged on 4-aco-dmt). It's like tryptamines 101.
 
4-aco-dmt is awesome and pretty close to mushrooms but not exactly. You don't get the mushroom sweats or weird thick saliva that's zoomers usually cause but you still get the yawns and the visuals are a bit more dmt like.
I will say however that 4-aco-dmt tends to cause a state of deep "cosmic" thinking and I've seen a few inexperienced trippers have freak outs on it. It has also forced me to confront personal issues during trips when I just wanted to have fun so be prepared for that possibility.

4-aco-dmt and mephedrone? Your 2013 is sounding like my 2010. Just be careful with that 4-mmc. (If you ever get your order size up to a kilo you might have a problem.


As for the OP, they are very similar. It took me a few trips to really knacker out the difference in effects, but there are some.
 
Since June, I've been switching back and forth between mushrooms and 4-AcO-DMT. I find the two to be very similar.

In my opinion;

Come up- 4-AcO-DMT is quicker by ~ 15-20 minutes; initial effects seem a little bit more pushy or speedy
Body effects- 4-AcO-DMT has a slittle bit more of a body buzz
OEV's- identical
CEV's- a bit brighter colours
Duration- almost equivalent
GI disturbance/distress- no question, mushrooms are worse for me
Mindfuck- Haven't found any on 4-AcO-DMT....yet (only dosed up to 27.2 mg fumarate salt)
After effects (-ve)- Haven't found any from either.

If you don't have access to mushrooms, I find 4-AcO-DMT a more than adequate replacement.

I've always found the two to be very similar. Mushrooms of course produce nausea and discomfort on the come up that I never feel from 4-AcO-DMT. Mushrooms are also a bit more unpredictable emotionally in my experience, whereas 4-AcO-DMT has almost always felt peaceful and serene at doses under 30 mg.
 
At lower doses they're very much alike, but get higher and their paths will start to diverse. Pretty much everything said in the thread I agree with, feels very clean and calm. Well, it can get pretty crazy but if you know mushrooms then you'll kind of know what to expect. Start around 15-20mg though, it can be very strong.

IMO it's sooo much better than mushies. It seems more colorfull and friendly than mush. People say it causes no stomach discomfort but I disagree, I still get tht "butterflies in stomach" feeling that shrooms give me although to a much lesser extent, no real nause though. Also the come up seems a lil rougher with the 4-aco, I get real jittery and nervous then im dropped off into serene beutiful psychedelia...very soothing and gentle. Mine is a white powder with a very slight tinge of light brown, I guess you can call it off white. Regarding what people say about it being metabolized into psilocin, I believe that that's half right in that some is converted but also the ACO is active in its own right cuz there's definately a slight difference between the two while also being remarkably similar. I LOVE this stuff!
 
Thank you all for your input. I am a Psilocybe Cubensis mushroom cultivator and was wanting to offer my customers a slightly "different" alternative. Does 4-ACO-DMT cause the coming-up nausea that boomers cause? Also my vendor sells Methallylescaline and 25C-NBOME as far as psychedelics go, and it was my guess the 4-ACO-DMT was the safer/better/easier to dose (at least compared to 25C-NBOME) of the two. I could make a blotter of the 25C-NBOME since it is active dose is about .2-.5mg. I was wanting to try these but I take Abilify (aripirazole) daily and wasn't sure if the Abilify would negate any of the Psychedelics' effects. The anti-depressant I am taking with it is Wellbutrin so that won't interfere like an SSRI can.
 
Mushrooms have a fair amount of variation in their effects, in my experience.

It would be better to ask, how close is 4-aco-DMT to 4-ho-DMT (Psilocin).

I found them to be very similar indeed, although pure Psilocin seemed to have a softer body feeling and perhaps a more spiritual feeling headspace.

4-aco-DMT on the other hand, if taken in higher doses, starts to resemble oral DMT in many ways. The feeling of being in "the DMT room" is something you might experience for a couple hours on a high dose of 4-aco-DMT.

I believe variations in body chemistry, set and setting would easily overcome the relatively minor differences between 4-aco-DMT and 4-ho-DMT. Shrooms you might feel more in your tummy, and some shrooms have other chemicals in there as well so it's a more complex process trying to compare them to mushrooms.

Overall it's about as similar as it gets. 4-ho-MiPT is also very similar.

HA..well honestly after going thru 3/4 of the gram of mephedrone and i did not get the cocaine like ringer i heard one gets from iv use..altho it felt very clean, it was enjoyable but not sumhing i will repeat often, i may order a few more grams and just put it into storage..i think if i had not givin into redoseing i would have liked it much more...as i do not like to repeat injections all day and end up like a pin cushion, which always happens on coca.


BUTT mann the 4acoDMt..this is something! like damn, 20mg IV WHOAA, i dont condone needle use but this was worth it, hit like a sack of bricks and shoved into the Void, I became the universe.
So much better the mushies all around! altho on mushies i never vomit but feel nauseous thru out the trip...butwith this it was just after injection the rush that propelled me into the unkown did make me vomit, and i could hardly put the thoughts together to find an empty container in time!

but that was it...after i felt euphoria not even heroin can compare to ...and i know my euphoria's! haha
