Opioids How long does your oxycodone high last?

I have been doing 15-20 mg of oxycodone once a week, but the duration of the high seems very unreliable. Once it lasted 2+ hours consistently (orally, always), and more recently only 25 minutes. I would think a week is enough space in between to avoid tolerance, but the high went from 2 hours to 30 minutes in two weeks. So I'm hesitant to attribute it to tolerance. Any suggestions? Potentiators, etc.? Explanations?

it really depends on how sensitive you are to the effects of opioids. some people can easily feel a dose of oxycodone for 6-12 hours, especially if it's big enough. regular users might feel like they want to redose after 30 mins.

Oxycodone should last for a good 2-4 hours when taken orally, if it doesn't then chances are your tolerance is getting higher.

What oxycodone high? Damn. I'm not on it any longer, but when I was, it was prescribed as an analgesic for chronic pain. It worked.

But no high, mutter mutter...

orally an oxycontin will last much longer than say an IR prep like roxicodone.

supposedly the oxycontin, which is an extended release formula(hence the "contin" part of the name) can last up to even 24 they claim. typically because of tolerance and dependance that isnt how long someone "feels high" id say maybe 8 hours tops on average. most dependent folks will say less.

if you are taking IR oxycodone, snorting/IV/plugging, etc... that will last about 4 hours ime. totally depends tho... at one point i used to rail about 10 mg every hour or so up the old nose. if i waited much more than that i started to feel w/d. it was because of the frequency of me abusing it tho really imo.

oxycodone has a little longer half-life than morphine or hydrocodone. so it typically does last longer in a lot of people.

oxycodone and hydrocodone give me a much different "high" than say heroin or morphine tho... so it depends on what u mean by high too i geuss...

when I used to do it I'd smoke it and about 30-50 minutes from a couple good ass hits.

Wow that sucks. What do you do instead?

I take massive amounts of either alprazolam, triazolam or midazolam and usually do anywhere from 30-60mg.

If I do oxycodone alone...I need like 90mg to feel "good" and it goes away pretty fast...If I buy 3 blues I try and eat 1.5 and blow the rest.


Also, oxycodone is really speedy to me....I need to clean my room, wash my car in the rain, go surfing...write an essay for college...etc
