Always slightly tripping / having minor visuals

I have taken my fair share of psychedelics. I've taken shrooms probably about 40 times, LSD around 25-30 and lots of RCs but mainly 25i. I am on probation because of a trafficking charge relating to alprazolam and being a huge stoner I went from smoking all day everyday to like once a month because of the drug testing. When I first started probation it was rather hard for me coping with not smoking. So I decided to buy a sheet (over time) of 25i because of how cheap it was. For 2 and a half months I tripped twice a week. I know i know way too much tripping don't lecture me. And every since then ALL day everyday I have minor visuals. Like things shifting slowly and thigs breathing. When I first wake up it's more intense. I have color distortions for about the first hour I am awake and then it's less intense the rest of the day. But it NEVER stops. And it's been like 4 months since that time. I'm not really concerned rather just interested in seeing if anyone else has experiences similar to this. Eager to hear replays. Thanks

It's normal, and mostly because the human visual system is a rather poorly designed biological system, not an infallible digital camera.

Are you saying, Sekio, this is normal to drug users? Or do you mean normal to people? Because I don't think it is for people.

i have very minor cev still months after using 25i. very weak though, like closing your eyes in front of a lamp.

i was just listening to this david choe guy who is a famous artist talking about how he is always mildly tripping and having visuals ever since he did ayahuasca. he was talking about how he's learned to embrace it. i think it was joe rogans podcast #392

Unless taking benzodiazepene drugs I suffer from permanent visuals I can even get lizards or jesus christ to appear on the ceiling. It is my own fault tho 250+ high dose psychedelic experiences. I fully believe it is safe and just part of me now. I no longer trip, however I recently ingested 2gs of cubes to alleviate a 4 day long migraine that was strictly a medical application.

There is nothing cool about permanent visuals, however it does not change who you are as a person just realize your perception is much different than others, like when I fight with my girlfriend I need to realize I have a completely different visual and mental perception so I don't take things personally and I adjust.

I never thought it would happen, I never thought psychedelics could cause lasting effects. I was dead wrong. It still isn't as bad as the flashbacks they try to teach you about in health class.

Now that I think back my health teacher used to refer to the possibility of flashbacks and he once said you can see serpents years later. He was on the money with the serpents, now that I think back my health teacher had to hit some L lol.

Dont worry op just dont go further down the rabit hole its pretty fucking hard to come out of with out medical professionals. Thats where im at finally back to normal ( kinda lol )

When you're talking visual disturbances stemming from heavy hallucinogen use, it's going to be called HPPD. No one said it wasn't.

But HPPD is a very broad term and some of the symptoms are the same symptoms of common visual disturbances, just magnified (Scheerer's phenomenon, floaters, visual snow).

^ What? Once again, nobody said they were.

Op's problems started after taking 25i twice a week for 10 weeks. That's heavy use of a hallucinogenic drug. It would be safe to assume that OP has a mild form of HPPD, however, he would need to see a doctor who specializes in this disorder to get a proper diagnosis. Like I said, HPPD shares symptoms with common visual disturbances so it's hard, even for professionals, to correctly diagnose.

Which simply brings us back to my first question. Are you saying this is normal to drug users? Or do you mean normal to people? Because I don't think it is for people.

If this is not HPPD... what could it be? Because it is not floaters or snow.

Visual disturbances that resemble HPPD do occur in people who have never taken drugs. No, someone who has never taken drugs will not have actual HPPD.

You were the one who brought up HPPD. I avoided the term at first because it is so easy to confuse the symptoms.

That's what I call a free ride. Joking aside, I say that a lot, but ever since I was young and had tripped, what your experiencing is something that with yoga and meditation I could bring on. To me it was the free ride that I could initiate when I desired it. Call it a trance but I enjoyed it. You could be bringing it about because of your anxiety about it. I can't say for sure, but I never viewed it as threatening. If you tell a shrink the word psychotic experience is bound to pop up. I imagine when your occupied with something that requires your attention you don't notice it, unless you can't stop thinking about it. And that is just a matter of accepting it as a part of your life now. Just don't worry about it and it will diminish, then you might do as I did and try to bring it on. Take it with a grain of salt.

how many heavy psychedelic (30+ trips a year) have lasting negative effects visual and mental? and please describe them.

I've only tripped about a dozen times in total over the last 3 or 4 years and I still have slight visuals, especially if I stair or am tired. Late at night in front of a computer screen everything sort of looks like that very first stage of a mushroom trip, where you get very slight tracers, they have a specific appearance in comparison to other psychs, it's almost shiny in a way.

just got used to it over time, can't imagine it without them.

I know it is not, but the visual phenonema almost seems like an inevitability if you trip enough times. I may not know the frequency but would you ever imagine having visual disturbances of this kind without taking hallucinogens? How frequent do you think it is?
