I have to admit to loathing Pink Floyd, I appreciate their musical talent, Wish you were here is undeniably a fine piece of music in a number of ways but it always strcikes me that once Syd left they spend the rest of their time wining on about it...not to mention Roger Walters being a total arse, just my opinion though:D
 
I do like some of their music, like I said Wish You Were Here is a fine piece of work.

I like the Syd era stuff much more and loath The Wall with a passion.

I find them self indulgent, regardless of the technical skill especially around the Syd issue, over rated hippy drivel in the main, but I fully accept music is a matter of taste like any art form.

I'm not really a big fan of that kind of rock music, I prefer the more industrial side of the genre

At the risk too of being shot down gotta agree with Allein's sentiments about Pink Floyd. In the days when I had any kind of weed tolerance (the mere whiff makes me feel a bit pyschotic now) I always played John Martyn...self indulgence of a much more acceptable form I always think. <3
