Manchester is a very strange place for accents. There are several differnent Manchester accents, especilly if you take on board Greater Manchester to include Bolton and Bury which really are pretty bad accents, sorry if thats offended any one from there. I can imitate many different accents, but i really struggle to do Manc accents, although people i meet from outside Manchester tell me that i now have a Manc accent. Ive lived here for many years, moved here in my mid twenties.

Oh aye, within the city boundaries there are plenty.

Don't take them on board at all - they're called 'yonner' accents. They all got really, really upset out there when the '74 Local Government Act placed them forever in our metropolitan, cosmopolitan shadow.

I worked in Oldham once and somebody was astounded to see me reading a book out of choice. I kid you not. Different people entirely.
 
I'm a shite Mancunian as I have a Cheshire accent. Sometimes people even mistake me for a southerner or Australian. 8)

As in Wilmslowesque Cheshire, or scummy ex-Cheshire (Stalybridge, Duki, etc.)?

Don't worry, I won't judge (as if you'd care). My accent is a bit mangled too, though still pretty Manc. Ask effie.

In my dim and distant yoofdom I played gee-tar in a (really, really bad) band. We played at the singer's sister's wedding one time and stayed in a tent in his parent's garden. In Wilmslow. The slightly more interesting part is that I couldn't sleep so went for a walk sometime around dawn and, being a teenage boy, got an itch that needed scratching so ended up having a wank under a tree. Somewhere in Wilmslow there's a lil piece of me <3

Theres loads of people here id love to meet...ive got to bang a few heads together lol it would be really edgy..someone might die...actually it could be a massacre.
 
do we have a location for this as yet? I can bring the grapefruit covered in tin foil with the cheese and pineapple sticks
 
Ahh walking with stuff is somewhat limited and I bet I wouldn't get the Tank Rover up there and the lambretta is too temperamental for such things.

I leave down south so it would be a fair trot
 
yeah a lot of people are south it would be cool to have a meet up here as well. Id genuinely love to meet several people from eadd. Theyre special to me... i dont really want to murder them just get stoned and have a giggle about bluelight. Probably wont happen.. a few people here know where i live so if youre ever passing let me know i'll give you a cuppa (arsenic :D)
