Butthole Surfers <3

"It's better to regret something you did, than something you didn't do" eh Shambles? ;)

I don't care what anyone says about the Strokes. I don't care if it's not 'cool' to like them. I do.

Check this next track. The opening chord sequence is magic and the minor key change that leads into the bridge is pure musical genius.

The Strokes - Welcome to Japan

=D

Also, tried hard with that Strokes tune I really did. Just can't bring myself to like 'em though. Whatever Goodness they have is there for sure but is so very slight it's lost in the blink of an eye so probably ain't so great in the grand scheme so have pretty much given up at this stage.

In no way relating to any of the above (afaik anyway 8o)...

Now, Now - Neighbors (Acoustic Version)

Quite like a few of their tunes but that one is just plain fukkin lush <3

No worries. I like 'em though. They do have a lot of filler on their albums but the killer tracks really are just that.

I know EADD is far too cool to like the Arctic Monkeys but I gave up caring about being cool a long time ago and just listen to the music I like the sound of regardless of who made it.

This is rocking.

Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine

Mmmyah. Arctic Monkeys. Another of those bands that leave me kinda cold. Appreciated. But cold. Boxes are ticked, precious little beyond that though for me no matter how hard I try :!

A genuinely random aside. No idea where I picked this up from but am liking it currently. Very vaguely like New Order, I guess. Not really though. Dunno. But quite like it...

The Glove - Like an Animal

Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock (live on some French TV show)

So much pain. So much pleasure <3

Fella's playing my gee-tar there. Playing it a shitload better than I ever could, mind :!

I learnt to play every track off that album at the time. Spunked £20 on the tab book and everything. Cherub Rock was always one of those inbetween tunes for me. Can play the basic riff, and a few twiddly bits, but cannot combine the two. Is mostly how it came down to trying to play Pumpkins tunes for me: lotsa bits I <3 but stringin' em together like that?!? :!

Not especially related, but as far as switching to leccytunez go...

Kkrusty - Jamais Vu

... and in similarly-named news...

Kkrusty - Jamais Deux

That latter one appears to be an actual part of a videogame. No idea if it actually is. Have been listening to a bit of his stuff recently and videogame references are rife so that may be a tune or it may be a videogame tune. Dunno. Is quality either way though. And if that's someone playing a videogame is some mad skillz 8o

(but have it as an ep or summat so sounds mighty frikkin strange yet also very familiar in such form)
