Question about taking gear after subutex..

.. I last smoked some gear on Saturday (smoked about 1/2 a gram between Friday & Saturday) - I haven't got a habit as such anymore. Anyway I didn't really feel bad at all on Sunday like I usually would after 2 days

- So regardless I got 16mg of Subutex on Monday (1*8mg pill & 4*2mg ones).. I took all of them can't remember if I finished them last night or this morning. Got another 14 mg today (1*8mg & 3*2mg) and have got 8mg left..so just now I got a score bag of gear that is supposed to be very very nice indeed...

- My question is can I smoke it now or will it be a waste? (I took my last piece of subutex about 5 hours ago, around 5.30 p.m.)..

- I know you are supposed to wait for like 24-48 hours after taking subutex in order to let the gear hit you properly, but is that for people who are on maintenance buprenorphine? Like people who are taking it regular and not just like I did to get high for 2 days?....would it be different for me because there wouldn't be a build up of bupe. in my system?

Defo a waste, and defo wait as long as you can, you really need to try and not be greedy here mate...honestly! You have a nice supply of equipment, and don't need to get high yet yeah, you just want to? And if you did smoke not much if anything would happen. So wait until you feel sick (which you probs will a bit) wait til you can't hold on and then you can enjoy it. And even using it at 48 hours will still feel frustrating

I know it's shit! And the build-up thing...well see what happens if you like...just wait buddy it will be worth it, especially if the gear is good. Sounds like you are using a lot more these days, especially with the subutex, be careful!

Hey BR!... Talks man for responding so quickly - Yeah ur right I knew that the answer was gonna be to wait until some stage tomorrow at least.

Yeah I don't need to get high don't feel sick at all I just want to lol. I just don't have much experience taking subs, like I could count the times I've take them on one hand - usually after a bad 3-4 day binge they are good taking them about 24 hours after having the last smoke.

No, not using more - quite a bit less than earlier in the summer time and definitely a lot less than this time last year when I was out of control on the gear in the 2 months coming up to Christmas.. the thing with the subbies on Monday was just an opportunity the guy who has them was trying to sell some of his script as he had taken a pile of gear and he must have a slow metabolism or whatever cause he has to wait nearly 48 hours before taking bupe again or he will get really bad precipitated withdrawals. He needed to get more money together today to get sum weight so bought the other 14 mg I thought they would come in handy for a rainy day

- but therein lies the rub, I can't leave any drugs of any kind but especially opiates be, I have no willpower to stop myself taking them!!

- Anyway I think the best plan might be to take a valium now and sleep then wait until sometime tomorrow to take the gear (at least it will be something to look forward to during the day!)

I've been asking the same thing recently, and the concensus is you gotta leave it 48hrs+ (preferably 72 before it has some kind of real effect) before the gear will be worth taking when youv had over 12mg sub

Yeah over 12mg... but was that over 12mg a day for a few days or what?... I took 16 in 2 days and then 6mg today, nothing before that or after it 8)

Anyway I just broke a tiny rrock off gear off the small (0.25) rock I bought and put it on the foil.. It's a funny looking colour (very clear, light beige type which is the opposite to what's been going around lately) and I've just run two lines (More to satisfy my curiosity than to get high)... the gear runs really really clear leaves no traces which again I haven't seen in a while....the two lines so didnt do anything gonna run another two and then put it away for the night at least

That little bit you used last night will set you back a few hours now, hope you get through today being a good boy benzos could be the key, and maybe a few drinks...but if that's a trigger for use...ah fuck it, life's tough!

Ah I know, I'm the same - have often gone without when I really wanted to quit, even while having money. I don't mean will power in that way buddy I mean no matter how much or how little I have I will smoke it nearly until it's gone... What do you mean the little bit I used last night will set me back a few hours? I won't be able to get high for a few more hours??? Oh no, screw these subbies what a pain in the ass drug they are - this gear seems really really nice!.. I actually put the rest out on a tray this morn., before work and smoked about a 0.1 - felt it actually a little even with the subbies in my system (last took sub. at about 6ish yesterday evening so it would have been 14 hours)

I just want this subutex out of my system so I can fully enjoy this gear and enjoy it properly..

I guess I meant the longer you waited without the gear the better it would have been. And yeah screw subbies for recreational use, like sam just said in another thread they are only good for this purpose very occasionally.

Exactly BR, they are ok once in a blue moon for rec. use but even then they don't feel near as nice as gear or even methadone... They are really handy if your sick though or planning to taper off gear if you have a bit of a habit going
