Opioids poppy pod tea WD/s help

Hey guys. New user here. My situation is pretty similar. I got a bundle of dried poppies about a week and a half ago and I haven't quite gotten through the entire bundle yet, but I've been drinking the tea on and off for that week and a half. But I've probably drank it every day for the past 3 or 4 days. (including today because I have a cold and it does wonders for cold-flu relief) But I want to get off the stuff and wait a few weeks to finish my bundle. So should I expect to experience withdrawals if I quit cold turkey tomorrow? Or should I drink a small cup the day after tomorrow and then a smaller cup 2 days after that? Also, I have a small history of addiction. I got some free morphine couple summers back and did it every day for a few weeks and had withdrawals for a couple days when i quit cold turkey. I just want to know if I should even bother to taper with such an insignificant habit. Because I go to class every day and don't want to be unexpectedly shitting my pants during class. Any further advice on this topic would be much appreciated. Thanks!

thnx its a big relieve I havet had any severe WDs only some Diarrhoea a bit sore back runny eyes nothing more sleeping fas fine and also Iam yawning a lot through the day I have now only one question when to take the klonopin and the codeine ?

Those sound like classic opiate withdrawal symptoms, albeit mild ones. It sounds like you're holding out very well. It also sounds like you haven't formed a strong psychological dependence to you're opiate doc, which is a great thing.

I'd say it's probably not a good idea to take another opiate drug ie codeine; the relief will be temporary in the extreme (codeine would would wear off after four hours max for me), and all you'd be doing is prolonging the detox process while risking dependence to codeine. As your symptoms are so mild, why not just tough it out, using the klonipin sparingly.

Btw are you planning to quit the opium tea permanently, or is this just a short-term thing until you can get more. IMO you're not in deep; you could easily put this opiate dependence behind you; it gets much more difficult the longer you stay on it. Overall, I'd say you're in a very good position.

Edit: just read your post describing you're dhc dose...man, I miss those things! They're becoming rare as hell in the UK.

BTW dhc sure as hell aint otc in UK, but codeine linctus is (500mgs per bottle)

Question...I have been using poppy seed tea for about 3 weeks and I am wondering how bad the withdrawals might be and if so what should I do to get through the Wds? I have went through Wds of a 120 Mg hydro a day habit before and got the shits, runny nose, bad fatigue and depression that lasted for 5 days or so... should I expect that from the poppy tea or not?? Any help would be appreciated thanks

One thing you have going for you is the short amt of time you've been using PST. That being said, I was taking about 100-120mg of hydro/day before the PST. Didn't feel a thing from the hydros anymore but washing 1lb of poppy seed didn't just take the WD's away, it got me good and high. I'm not saying you'll have severe WD's but I want you to be prepared.

So I made the jump today, the 10th was supposed to be the last day of my 45 day taper, I stretched it out for another 5 as I wasn't mentally ready for the jump. I'm hoping that by posting updates here I can keep myself accountable as I have been doing the taper secretly. Today has been good so far, no real physical WDs just anxious and irritable. Wish me luck, I'm done with this stuff!

Eh, I think 90% of the time, comparing a poppy tea habit to something like an IV heroin habit is pretty apples and oranges.

I haven't had pods since probably 2006, but they were every bit as good as heroin, three medium pods had me very high (probably came close to overdosing thrice given how sick I got) for a very, very long time. They had me higher than a quarter gram of good powder or what was good powder for Minneapolis powder the tar I got there was interesting but weak.
