Sam thats why i said 4mg is a good recreational dose. Id choose 18mg of bupe over 10mg of oxy any day because you could split it into 5 happy doses. Bupe still floods me with a feeling of wellness about 3 months into it.

Brimz i dont know anything about methadone, so yeah i loose that discussion.

Oh yeah also i get the 21 blues & 210ml of moggy weekly so your saying you would rather have supervised bupe over all that good shit on a take home ?

There really isn't a recreational dose if you've been on it for a couple of weeks or more! Trust me!

And 4mg is the absolute cut-off point, not a 'good recreational dose'. You'll find that 2mg is plenty.

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it. Bupe is not really that much of a recreational opie, MDB. Even methadone is more 'fun' for most.
 
ive been doing it for 3 months, and i still enjoy it. What can i say apart from YMMV. Codeine does absolutely nothing apart from turn me into a beetroot.

I went back to sublingual. I think it lasts longer that way, though it doesnt hit you as hard or as nicely.

Brimz i do get it about bupe being no good for you, with all the other opis you are on as it throw you into WD. It wouldnt work for you i do get that. But my only opi is Bupe so its not going to do that to me.

You enjoy the effect of being insulated from the world. Trust me, you aren't getting a buzz. Even with potentiation you'll get pretty much jack shit as far as a real buzz goes.

Hey - I loved the feeling myself, but it isn't recreational. It has nothing on real opioids - that's why it's used as a maintenance drug. It's there to help people stabilise their chaotic lives and come off full agonists.

Mostly because you went and addicted yourself to it in the first place! Is it really worth the money you're paying? I very much doubt it.

Seriously, you've been playing with that stuff for too long, and you're defeating the purpose of having bought it to begin with. Have you even attempted to miss a dose or two in order to see how you feel? I mean miss a day or two, not skip your afternoon top-up (which you don't need).

I'm way off-topic now, but you need to have a look at your attitude to the stuff. I say that out of concern, even if it comes across a bit firm.
 
yes sam, i have. Ive come down from uncounted amounts in the first 2 months, as i got a great deal of enjoyment out of it, recently i decided that had to end, and ive cut down to 2mg a day and counting.

For me, i dont think im doing too bad to have halted myself and reversed back up, and got back on track relatively quickly, (i mean it could have dragged on for years) with the original intended idea of quitting opiates. I never had the fore sight that i would enjoy it so much.

But I am back to the original plan, as of a week or 2 ago, i have been reducing. I just lost my way for 2 months. A familair story on these boards.

How many days have you skipped before you start rattling? And I mean rattling.

We're not talking about cutting down your daily dose. That's relatively easy if you're on >2mg. Especially as you weren't addicted to strong opioids before, and you've only been on sub for a few months.

I love it, i've been off drugs for the most part recently since going on subs, and have been really trying to get back into volunteering, doing activities, going out and getting bacck to the gym etc. Basically trying to get some sort of a 'real' life again. I'm sure plenty of you can appreciate how hard doing anything like that is, easy as it sounds.

Modafinil is like a wonder drug, there's no recreational effects, no mental or physical side effects (for me and most people anyways), they just make you more alert, focused and motivated. They are truely amazing, i take either half a 200mg pill or a full 200mg pill on a morning, or afternoon if i need a bit of an extra kick, and after around 30 mins, i'm just so much better at life.

I've never been tempted to take more than 200mg either, which is saying something for me! Its the only 'smart drug' i've tried that actually does something, and i cannot reccomend it enough. I'd be typing the same even if i wasnt phetted up to the eyeballs, its helped me start to rebuild a life :). I'm anxiety prone, and it doesnt induce any anxiety, i'm an insomniac and it doesnt effect my sleep (though iv never taken 1 before bedtime lol) and i have nnothing but ppraise for this drug.

I think that just about covvers it :)
 
Funnily enough the win hasnt cheered me up one bit... I miss opiates, thank fuck all those clever folk created other substances for me to indulge and enjoy...

Bah ! You're being too hard on me. I'll get there at my own pace. I almost made a below the belt retort, but thought better of it.

CK: Yeah you've done a great summary of the stuff. Im a big fan too. 200mg is a bit strong for me, or maybe its cos i smoke too i get a bit jitterry and stuff. Taking 100 mg is barely noticeable but it must be doing something. I agree about the redosing, i tried that a couple oif times and discovered it did not work well. Lead to foul moods and over stimulation.

Sorry if it comes across that way, but you didn't need the stuff in the first place, and now you're making problems for yourself.

For fuck's sake, sell the subs, get some dihydrocodeine and get yourself out of this mess. Bupe acts on a lot of different receptors, and you'll find yourself in a much bigger hole than you would have been had you just stopped the AH-7921 (which you admit you probably weren't physically addicted to). It's frustrating watching somebody make excuses for adding another needless problem to their list, especially as you seem to think it's all 'fun'.

Just kick the stuff while you're still doing benzos, for your own sake.

* 65ml Methadone

* 16mg Diazapam (I get this takeaway everyday, I've been on a 2mg a month monitored taper from 24mg after getting into problems, but the taper is having the reverse affect and as i'm lowering, it's making me want to drink more or top up my Diaz dose. I got this by being truthful with my very decent doctor before anyone asks me for tips on how to blag a diaz script, as blagging doesn't work most of the time.)

* Flucoxacillin 500mg - as my Abscess has refilled, and I've got yet another one within two weeks of the op of the first one. Must have had a bad batch cut with some nasty shit.

* Thiamine 100mg 1 a day - Us heavy drinkers need it to stop us getting wet brain.

* Vitamin B Compound - Same as above, when they put me on it, I was tiny and not eating, and they've just never taken me off it since.

* Lactulose - As us Heroin AND methadone users tend to have issues in the bowl area, I'll say no more. Those who know, will know.

* Salbutamol - For the Asthma innit

* Tramadol 100mg - For those times when I need them. (And please don't anyone give me a lecture on how I shouldn't be using it along with the rest of my meds, I've never had an issue, I know my limits, and the dangers. I don't take any other SSRI's, nor use any drugs that would react with it. Crack doesn't in my experience anyway.

* Orangeboom 8.5% - Last but not least, i've become too used to having 2 a day before the boy comes home. He's worried about my growing alcohol intake as we lower our heroin intake, both me and him do not want me going back to being an alcoholic. But I'm noticing signs.

Add on my daily on top use of Smack and Crack, which can range from two of each a day x 4 shared, to two B and one W shared x4 a day, to one of each a day shared x4. Hard to keep track we keep kidding ourselves that we're tapering. It needs to come to an end, and fast. It's wages day today for the boy, and as soon as he gets in that front door, he'll give me a kiss hello, a quick discussion about who we're seeing and off he'll go back out to sort it.

Yes, you're right there

There's acutally a shortage in our area at the moment. The way the alcoholics are treating it, you'd think it was like the smack drought. Everyone asking, have you seen it, which shop has it, some shops have put the prices up. Usually I'd be able to get it for 1.10 in our local polish shop, but they've been out for two weeks. My local asian shop who will tick me, has found some, but put price up to 1.25.

It honstly is like gold dust in my area of Bristol, it's quite amusing. If they're out of Orangeboom, I just buy Debowe (Dunno if you've seen it, has a tree on the can, gold on one side, red and black on the other) instead even though it's 7% I'd rather drink that than resort to spesh or Super. Plus, it's only a quid from our local polish shop just down the road, and he lets me off 10p if i'm short if I smile at him ;)

Yeah, I was almost single-handedly reponsible for a shortage of it in south Manchester for a while. :D

Never seen Debowe, but then again I've always had a soft spot for Spesh and Tennent's. Fuck knows why. But Oranjeboom actually tastes more like some Belgian beers than it does tramp-juice.

Surprisingly, I never got the smile discount either! Watch yourself though. It's hard to go back to normal drinks once you get a taste for that stuff, as you know. Even spirits don't seem to do it for me when I'm drinking super strength. It's that glow.
